I just bought Metroid Prime from a fellow CAG, and was surprised it said "K-Mart Exclusive", on it? And on the back it said "Not for resale", just like that Zelda Master Quest. Is this like rare-er than the basic version?

It may be a little 'rarer' but I don't think it's worth much of anything. It was part of a K-Mart exclusive set that included the game and a wireless controller.

It was bundled with a wavebird controller, hence the Not For Resale. Probably not rare. If it is, I also have a sealed one that someone can buy from me!;)

Oh, I know its not going to be worth much, I got it for $4 mint, just wanted to know if faced with a choice, would a collector go for this version or the original?

Original. Who want's a blue light special all over thier insert art?

i think there was one guy on this board that had EVERY version of metroid prime (K-Mart exclusive, all the updated reprints, the prime/echoes bonus, etc)

Gamestop and EB Games sell any version of Metroid Prime for the same price so even if the other versions are rarer than the original, they can still be found at a cheap price ( I think $4.99).

I think you mean this bad boy or girl:

i have a question do all versions of metroid prime 1 come with a metroid prime 2 echos demo or is that a limited thing? i got a copy of it from ebgames used and it actuall had both disks in it. of course i had to send away for the game manual though.

LOL..... I wish!!!

I actually still have 5 of them sealed.
I gave a few of the games away, so my friends would get into it, without all the whining about money.

When the movers were packing my stuff up for Japan, one of the guys was like, "holy shit, why do you have so many of them?" So I asked if he had a Gamecube.... he said yeah,... and I gave him one LOL I am serious.

Have fun with it, as it's probably the best revamp ever created.

Nope, that was limited version. Most of those were included with a purchase of a GameCube.

try ebgames then like i said i bought the game online from them but its probably a crap shoot as far as getting one but i bet you could find it easy in store. i got a copy of zone of enders from them too with a bonus disk in it both were pretty cheap but they both didnt have instruction manuals but i was able to get a metroid one and i know a place selling zone of enders ones.
