Has anyone else seen the new MGS video, all I can say is wow. This game looks amazing and from what I have read there seems to be a lot of new stuff in it to make the game new and different for those of us who have played all of the recent MGS games.

is the link for it in case anyone else wants to check it out, there are some possible spoilers in it for the people who want to avoid them

thanks for the video. I do not want to ruin it for anyone, but some of the shit in there is flat out fucking awesome. I love how they drop so many hints and how it seems to reference characters from the original Metal Gear

It still plays a lot like original MGS games but the camo system and the wild environment really add a new layer to the game as well as the lack of radar!
the crouch grabbing was a lil disturbing though
yea it was

also everytime I watch it I seem to see more and more references to the first two Metal Gear games. The doctor and the woman both remind me of people from those series

Snake Eater is set in 1964 according to Konami's official MGS3 site. So it definitely looks like a prequel, meaning the Snake in the game may actually be Big Boss. But knowing Hideo Kojima, it won't be as simple as that. And Kojima even says that there will be a big twist 10 minutes into the game.

That trailer was bad-ass (excuse my language)! The game looks like it'll be amazing. Can't wait 'til November 1st. Let's just hope there's no delays.

I thought he was grabbing for a gun in a holster on his waist or something like that, but nonetheless that movie/trailer was very awesome. I can't wait to get MGS3 soon.

If theres anything like La Lu Le Li Lo featured in the story..no, if it resembles the second half of Mgs2 in anyway storywise, i swear ill scream, go postal and go hunt Kojima down.

..that games story was a cruel joke to decent gamers.

...Im sure Mgs3 will kick ass nonetheless. :)

MGS2 fucking ruled. People need to stop putting it down like it was the worst game ever.

Personally I wished MGS3 was a direct continuation of MGS2.

That is the La Li Lu Le Lo.
MGS2 was alright, just the ending seemed to be too much of a "And then I woke up" thing. It had little to do with what was happening throughout the game up until then. Or so it seemed to me.
Gameplay-wise, the Metal Gear Solid series has always been top notch. I could give a shit what the story's like in 3, I'm going to buy it anyway.
Also, is it just me, or did that link die?

I concur. Sons of Liberty rocked; it's one of my favorite games of all time. It's the best game on PS2, IMHO. I wonder if Konami will come out with a MGS3 demo before its Fall release, like they did with MGS2.

Wow,

I now know what the next game I'll have to pay full price for is.

Kojima will assuredly take us for a ride. It'll probably turn out that Ocelot is Snake's dad, and not Big Boss.

The gameplay and graphics do look amazing and looks like it will be the best MGS to date. But the story is kind of up in the air. It takes place in 1960's Snake is what? 30 ish in Sons of Liberty late 20's in the the First MGS he had to be born in the late 60's early 70's and if that is the case he wouldn't be able to be eat snakes and shoot bee hives. Everything points for the main character to be Big Boss. But with Hideo at the helm i seriously doubt it will be that easy. What really makes me want to have this game is the story, I'm really curious on what the plot will be like.
