MGS4: Limited Edition - Coming to Canada?

I talked to the clerk at EB today, and he said it wasn't in their database. I'm getting worried. Remember the treatment we got for MGS3's Limited Edition?

Why does Konami hate Canada?

We probably will get it. It may be the same deal as Mass Effect where we found out, like, a week before release *exaggeration*.
 
I was gunna make a topic just like this.

I also went to ebgames today to see if they would have it in there system yet but they didnt, give it a week or so because i think the american ebgames only posted the limited edition stuff yesterday.

I dont think anywhere will be taking preorders for it and i also believe i heard it wont be coming out till the 15th

I guess it JUST got in their systems, because I went to that same exact location on Monday and nothing. I will check back.

It should. The MGS 3 LE was the same in Canada as it was in the States.

Probably not cause Canada usually doesnt get this kind of stuff.

No you can put as low as 5.00, i just preordered it today too and i only put 5 bucks down.
 
Are you supposed to get the Saga disc when you preorder? Cause when I preordered MGS3: Subsistence 2 years ago, I only got it when I picked up the game...
 
You only get the saga disc if you preordered the LE, and it should be available now but you have until the 17th before the beta acutally goes live.

Pretty sure this is incorrect. I recall reading a few websites where they state any MGS4 preorder gets this disc and the beta invite.

You only get the saga disc if you preordered the LE, and it should be available now but you have until the 17th before the beta acutally goes live.

Mine said the same but I've heard it's only for the LE. EB's site seems to mention the bonus disc for the regular edition but it ships with the game, not before. It could be the regular edition still gets the extra disc, but not the online beta trial.
 
I called eb on Thursday when the Americans were getting their preorder. They also said "Sometime next week". And since no one posted here about getting it yet, it must be true.
 
ebgames.ca site is so lame. Is it true that if you preorder the LE you will get a book? I read that on another site not so long ago but it was in the US.

Yea if you go to the american site it says you get a free art book courtesy of gamestop/ebgames. But i dont think you get the book if you preorder the LE else where.
 
Anyone happen to know if the LE comes with the game in a regular PS3 case, inside the special packaging? Or just the game without the standard PS3 jewel case.

I'm neurotic or OCD or something and I don't like stuff coming in different packaging (like metal cases) when the rest are just normal.

No they didn't call I was doing groceries near there and dropped by to check. I predicted today would be the day it would be showing up. There was a bit of confusion because I told them I was looking to pick up Metal Gear Saga which is what EB called the Metal Gear essentials collection...Which lead to a 2 minute conversation about they were all gone. But when I said the Metal Gear 4 Pre-order DVD they finally understood what I was looking for. Be specific if you call or drop by.
 
I picked mine up at Merivale location. They called me and told me mine is reserved :) Merivale EB is probably the best EB in Ottawa area IMO, based on many past experience.
 
Anyone in BC get it? I hope the people at EB weren't confused, tried to be specific in asking for the "MGS4 Preorder DVD" but both Oakridge and Metrotown said they didn't.
 
I placed my pre-order last week, and I went in to EB today, and asked if I was entitled to the DVD. After checking their pre-order list and asking if I reserved the LE version, I was handed the DVD!
