Squarehard is correct, there was a ruling last year which disqualifies video games. To those shipping out DVDs, it looks to still be a viable option.

I used to ship everything with media mail as well since I could just drop it into a box and throw lots of padding into it to make sure it arrives safe and less the price.

But ever since they officially put it in print that video games are not allowed now, I've rarely shipped any games through media mail now.

I never had any of my packages sent through media mail checked in the past, but why risk it.

It's probably safer just to wait for invoices and make sure that the item you're paying for is still there and there aren't any errors and so on.

You never know at this point so I say just wait at least til tomorrow night, since it is the weekend so that could be part of it.

If the other sellers who seem to be mia, just post a message like this so people can pay them already, that would be fine. One of my sellers that I still need to pay has been on a couple of times since the totals have been posted in the op, yet no post in the thread, no response to anything at all, and other buyers seem to be having the same issues too. Hopefully everything is okay, but still even a simple post to let us know if he's busy or something would suffice instead of leaving so many buyers in the dark. 2 minutes tops to post and get off.

Not that we need to go on about Media Mail but here is my two cents. If you are shipping a single video game/dvd/cd, you should get punched in the face for using Media Mail. Out about 40 packages I have received Media Mail, all but three looked like they were run over a few dozen times by an ATV. The difference in price would have been maybe $0.20 and it would have shown up in a few days instead of 2 weeks.

for anything under 8oz it's actually more expensive to ship media mail

Likely not; the cheapest option for shipping to Canada and getting a tracking number will run about $20. :( I plan on posting the customs number which can be used to confirm acceptance and delivery (sometimes), but isn't a guaranteed update.

SELLERS! Some concern about contact from buyers in the thread! If you are a seller, post here more often with item status and such just as you would if it were your own lowball. Just because it was a group effort at the beginning doesn't mean we can work through the dealings at the end. Also, check the front page listing. It's crazy that we still have so many "unclaimed" items or, worse yet, that buyers are trying to do the research to find out who you are instead of the other way around!!!

I can't keep things up to date if you are not posting the info I need in the thread.
 
Okay, stupid question time :lol: I won an item from refusedchaos and TLP is acting as his middleman. Fast forward to when I receive my stuff--do I leave feedback for refusedchaos or both him and TLP? They were both necessary for the successful completion of the transaction so I'm honestly not sure what to do ;)

Time wasn't a issue for asking TLP to handle my stuff. It is because my school PO is very shady when it comes to outgoing mail. I mean, if you want your buyer's stuff stolen then fine.

Not a big deal, as long as I don't get too many US dollars in my JP account, I'll be fine. Even though the conversion rate is total garbage right now, I don't think I have enough money to just hold onto the dollars anyway and will have to convert a large amount of the payments from this. :cold:
