I was scammed by this guy as well. He offered $47 for CastleVania. I sent and he claimed for months he never got it. Finally said he got it and that the money was in the mail. Weeks later there is nothing and can no longer PM him as his box is full. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, guess that teaches me.

I'll actually be removing the $5/once a day limit once we get to the last week. I just think that 400 CAGs seeing this as opposed to 100 is best, so that's why I don't want it run up to $500 the second day and then no one comes here again. I'm also hoping that it does a couple of things;

#1 Make people be a little more cautious. Some of the scammed have already stated that they had a weird feeling about him and/or his excuses even back in December, but no one actually went and mentioned anything until many had been scammed. If someone would have posted to a mod right away and got him on trading timeout or, at worst, had some others questioning the situation in his thread, maybe not as many would have been scammed.

#2 Show people that aren't feeling so hot about the trading forums that it is a good place regardless of a few bad apples.
 
Oh. Sorry. Didn't see the bit about 5$ / once a day. Was just so mad about CAGrs getting scammed thought I would throw a big juicy bid in.

Actually, I have thought it over and I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to. I mean, it's not as if you have anything in this of your own. It was my choice to sell the item and donate a portion of the proceeds to those affected, not yours.
Not being able to get this if you wanted it would just be further punishment, right?

Not to to mention that fact that you will be getting only a small portion of the winning amount anyway since it will be split between the bunch of you.

Let's just say that, if you win, you can't be eligible for the drawing of the best Steam game, but you can still get any of the others. Fair?

Thanks for everything you are doing. It sucks that so many of us got taken. Hopefully this will bring attention to it, but also show that it's a rarity that something like this happens. Even though I got screwed in this instance, I've had many more positive trades.

Regarding #1, I definitely gave him the benefit of the doubt. I definitely had an uneasy feeling when he said he didn't receive my package, because I had proof that it was received (at the border at least).

It's a shame because I should have spoke up, but I noticed he didn't have a thread of his own (unless I didn't do a very good job searching for it), and we had such a lengthy negotiation process to get the specifics of my games and his that I wanted to believe it was for real because of his reputation (36 or 37 positive feedbacks-100%).

Either way, it stinks that I was had. I should have mentioned something sooner, but I didn't know where to turn to. I was helpless, and you're right, all that was needed was for 1 guy to speak up. :/

What bums me the most is that some scumbag has my awesome games first off, and that was the bulk of the good stuff on my trade list and now I may never recoup what I planned on receiving.
This is real nice what you're doing though, it's good to know someone cares.

Gomen on the lateness of the payment. I had to go to Pittsburgh Comic Con over the weekend and then i came back to projects for college. Boy i wish that con could last forever.
