Miami Law is an action-adventure game packed with all of the ingredients of a prime-time TV show: an intricate storyline with a shadowy terrorist conspiracy, furious shoot-outs in abandoned warehouses, challenging crime-scene detective work and more. Players will have many opportunities to choose their path and change the story – either as the intense Law Martin from the Miami PD or the brainy Sara Starling from the FBI. Players will be presented with different challenges depending on which character they pick – playing as Sara will feature a puzzle-based, mystery solving element, whereas playing with Law will thrust the player into the action, often into car chases or shoot-outs where taking out the bad guys is the only way to get results. Unlockable extras, including Texas Hold ‘Em Poker and Sudoku, are included to take the pressure off players when the tension gets thick.
The game is already done and Hudson is sitting on it until they are ready.

And just for the lawls:
GBA was looked at, but there's still just too much risk with cart format stuff. Yes, the lead times have come down closer to disc based media, but it's still too long for a small niche pub like us. Therefore, no GBA or DS stuff from us.

Another factor (as I already posted in our threads at www.workingdesigns.com a while ago) is that I firmly now believe that the DS is indeed stillborn. I wanted to like it, but Nintendo's making it really, really hard. I'm keeping one system to play Goemon and Castlevania DS, and that's about it. My kids have moved on to PSP and are selling their DS machines, as I imagine many will once they experience the sexiness and functionality of the PSP.
Shouldn't he be selling copies of Dragon Force and Lunar on ebay saying they came from "HIS CLOSET"?

he's despicable, but man, DS was as good as still-born in March 2005 :\ People forget how empty the system was for the longest time. Wasn't until the following Fall/Winter season that things started looking decent.

This looks interesting. Before clicking, I thought it was some LA Law knock off, then I saw the Virtua Cop-esque screens.

And the N64, GameCube, SNES, etc. had bounteous libraries from the start? What machine has ever had a decent spread of titles at launch? Nintendo has been at a disadvantage in that they've presented developers with platforms that were breaking new ground and required more effort for their initial projects. When the N64 came out most developers still didn't have a good grasp of 3D design. When the DS appeared it presented a challenge both in the dual screens and the touch screen. It had more in common with PDAs than existing pure game platforms. The Wii, of course, had the new controller design which many developers have still yet to apply properly.

Despite this, these platforms offered big rewards for those who got it right. Vic made a huge mistake in betting against Nintendo. It was a poor match for the WD business model but that was a subjective problem and had to be stated as such.
well, picked this up for $6.81. lets see if its actually even worth that much @_@
Where the hell did you get it for that price? For that price even I'd throw a bone to Vic.

had to wake up at 4:30am to make a bid on the lot on ebay. strange thing was, someone actually tried to outbid me at that time too, lol. worth every penny. a little further into the game now, and i gotta tell ya, its definitely worth $10 if you can get it for around that price. its got some elements to the game that all comes together pretty well. its pretty much got alittle of everything as far as puzzles and some action goes. but nothing that is extraordinary or revolutionary. wish they would have did a little better with the graphics though =\. but still, for $7, i cant complain, lol.

Actually, that is how I just found out about this game. I was just thinking about all the great games Working Designs put out, and wondered if anything ever came about from the whole Gaijinworks thing. I guess this is a start, but I wonder if anything as epic as the Lunar series or Dragon Force will come from him?
