I just wanted to start this thread because I haven't seen any threads for Michigan Cheap Ass Gamers so I thought I would start one. If you find any deals that are specific to stores in our state.

I live in Detroit, so I will start with a Detroit deal. There is a new Gamestop located at the Grand Land Shopping Center near the corner of Fenkell and Grand River it is across the parking lot from Blockbuster. This is great because I won't have to travel far from home to get on some deals. :D
 
The Gamestop I referred to earlier is having a sale from Friday 1/21-Sunday 1/23 where all of their used inventory is buy 2 get 1 free.

Actually... if you hop into the wayback machine you'll find I made a Michigan cag thread for the CC sale, but that's in another world, another lifetime, and so forth and so on... anyway, carry on
 
Another MI CAG here. I'm from the east side, mainly from around Lakeside mall. But, my travels in pursuit of gaming goodness take me from 26 mile road (home) to Auburn Hills to Dearborn (work) and everywhere in between.

I do most of my game shopping at Gamestop, Game Rush, Target, and Meijer every once in a while. Oh, and Best Buy, too. I only shop at CC if they have $5 games, he he.
 
Meijers has been good for getting games for xbox live this year with their frequent BOGO50%off sales.

I never knew their were so many of us in the area. No wonder I've never been able to get in on any of the CC deals around here.
 
Hey all,

Is the DS still hard to find ? I really don't know if it's still scarce, but if anybody's in the Brighton area, the K-Mart here has 3 units as of 4:00 this afternoon. FYI.

Unfortunately everything else sucks ass because they never have the YMMV deals like other K-Marts do.

And bmulligan, I saw the DS at a Walmart in Clinton TWSP, I believe. They had like 15 units of it.
 
A lot of stores are going through inventory right now...which means thier digging up relics from the past. Add that to Toys R' Us's Green tag sale, and you might be able to find deals like a Dreamcast VMU for .98 before %70 off, .29 after :)

Also, FYI, the EBX in Fountain Walk (in Novi...most of my crap will be around here...because i work at COMIC CITY :) located next to Khols, in the west oaks 2 shopping center /plug ) is closed. Vans skatepark also closed, but will apparently be taken over by Modern Skate.

Hmm... I just realized how much Morbid looks like a kid that I used to know that went up here at good ole CMU. Kid always had a 40 in his hand, and on the occasion he didn't it was cuz he was smoking. I definitely used to smoke the handrolled smokes with that character from time to time, but those days are long gone. Good memories though...

If thats what was on sale at Old Mission, thats what I was going to drink.

Hmmm I almost broke my door handles the last couple days in the morning... Opening my car door after 0 degree weather and 40mph winds...

Yeah I noticed a lot of Michigan people in the Meijer BOGO thread too.

I'm in Midland...but we take a lot of trips down to Ann Arbor for independent movies & Wizzywig's anime store, so I keep an eye out for deals along the way (we took a trip and I stopped and picked up a CRT monitor at Office Depot to save on shipping costs, hell, might as well spend that money on gas for a little trip instead) :D

I mainly lurk here as a majority of my time is spent on fw, hometheaterforum, avsforum, etc

Us Michigan folks like our games because it is too cold to go outside :D :D

Heh... I kind of ended up here simply because it was further away from *home* than any of the other five colleges in Michigan worth going to, and at the time that was all I wanted.

The Skate Park transistion will happen near the end of this month. On the EBX side of things..no one has a clue exactly why they left, but its one of those rare occurences of everything normal one day, next day almost everyone is fired and shits being loaded onto a truck. Very odd.

In any case, I think I, too, should identify myself as a Michigan CAG. I'm the guy who can't find any deals in the area...so think before buying multiple copies. You just might be screwing the hopes of the Walrus... >_>

I'm in Ann Arbor, moved out here from Jersey about 6 months ago so I'm just adjusting to the Michigander lifestyle ;)

PS: who snagged all the PSOne LCD screens in Southeastern MI? ;)

i just have my 1 for right now. When i got a few more extra $$, im gonna pick up 1 or 2 more. I know im gonna break at least one modding it to my Cube, so i actually will need a spare

Where did you get yours? I've been to the TRU in Ann Arbor and Novi and they're pretty picked over as far as clearance games/accessories go. The guy at Novi told me some dude came in a few weeks back and bought out all the PSone LCD's they had and he knew for a fact that he had done the same thing at the 2 Southfield ones and the Ann Arbor location...

I wanted mine for the same reason, to mod to my cube and have a ghetto little kit for car rides :D

hmm...well thats interesting. they had 1 screen, very early on the %70 discount. I bought that one. If they were hiding more i know a few specific asses ive got to kick.
