Microsoft acquires Gears of War franchise from Epic

Considering the minute details that were overlooked when Cliff Bleszinski was on vacation, he talked about it in some interview, I'd hope that Rod watched what Cliff did lol.

Sounds like Rod wants the team to understand what makes gears the game everyone loves, before they go and make changes. Which is a good step.
Hopefully they back that up. I remember when Judgment was getting criticized the GoW forums were full of feedback and mods were overly sensitive even banning folks for pointing out issues and disagreeing with the gameplay changes. Hopefully the disaster that was Judgment humbled them to learn that your game will not sell if fans don't approve of it.

If you haven't watched it, he doesn't really tell you much.  There's nothing to report on the new game, just that they're working on it and information will come later.

The important information is that they will be updating the event playlists for Gears of War 3 and Judgment in a few weeks, though nothing was said about events for Gears of War 2.  They're also offering potential requests for community events on their forums.

And he mentioned potential unlocks in future games if you're a member of the forums, as it requires your gamertag as your account name.

Mmmm, it's not like they're gonna spill the beans for a podcast about what they're gonna show in a month or so at E3.
yeah im not sure we will see anything at E3, but if we do it might be a short teaser of what direction they might go in, or a voice of someone we know like marcus or something small. anything would be great, but i dont expect much.
