Microsoft Store asking my credit card info?

I contacted them by phone because I'm getting an error when I try to place an order on their website.

so the agent talked on the phone said that he can manually process the order for me. and in order to do that he asked my CC number/Expiry/Card Security Code/Billing Address/ Name on Card...

is this normal?? 

please advice...

they already have the payment info stored on my MS account. 

my problem is, why are they asking my financial info, I mean they can steal it and use on others sites etc??

I'm going to assume this isn't a joke. Most companies that you call will ask for certain information to determine the person calling them is indeed the person they claim to be. In addition, they may be verifying that the information on the account is accurate or they may not have access to the credit card number stored on the account and may need it re-entered. If you think they have access to this number already then they could steal from you without asking for it.

Just give them the information.

But seriously OP, you're only supposed to be paranoid if they call you for sensitive info, not the other way around.
