Microsoft Zune 2006-2011

I was planning on buying a Zune HD when I had the money. What'll this do for the price? If they're not selling now, surely the demand won't be any higher?

There probably will be price drops but I think this just means there will be a rebranding of the Microsoft music player in general.
When the ZuneHD came out the reviews were quite positive and I've heard nothing but good things about the Zune software.
I just ordered one for myself to replace my 3rd broken Ipod but no doubt the Zune has some serious branding issues.

They really got no chance on the portable music player and it has been costing them millions of dollars. They can only hope that WP7 is a success and can use Zune software.

We are talking about this in the Zune thread over in the 360 forums.

It really sucks because the Zune had so much potential.

Pure music players are on the decline, but I'm surprised they didn't turn it into an iPod touch-like device, with a browser and app downloads like WP7. Why not tie it in with WP7? Who knows, maybe they just mean they are going to do exactly that, but the new devices will not be called Zune.
