Minecraft on the DS official?

Last time Notch was asked about it he said:

"I think Minecraft would be very awesome on the 3DS! We’ve got soooo much work already, though."

So, not in the foreseeable future it seems.
 
If I were them, I would concentrate on XLBA/PSN/Steam support before I even considered handhelds. Their target market is deeply entrenched in one or all of those.
 
I think it's weird that they would release it for the Xperia Play phone but not the DS. I would think more DS owners would want it then that phone.
