Also if someone compiles all the fixed stats or finds someone who did, I'll put 'em up here. I still need to get the game so I can't help there. ;)

MSRP: $39.99

IGN - 8.4

From Joystiq:

If you love baseball but hate legs and players that are more than two feet tall, get ready for Konami and 2K Sports' new MLB Power Pros, an adaptation of the long-running Japanese series, Power Pro Baseball. The new franchise, coming to Wii and PS2 this year, was announced this morning.

In addition to using its gameplay and super-deformed character style, Power Pros will also ape its Japanese counterpart's "Success Mode," which presents baseball blended with RPG elements, the way it was meant to be. We've added a video of Power Pro above (featuring what appears to be an exceptionally good pitcher) so you'll know what to expect when the game drops this fall.

FINALLY SOMEONE HAS DONE IT....I've been waiting for a company to do this for 15 years...YESYESYESYES

Baseball games are about to change..I might buy a million of these so that 2k understands what gamers want...RBI Baseball with updated graphics, teams, stats, franchise features etc....

Wow, awesome? I've heard very good things about the Success Mode. This is the game that just came out in Japan a week or two ago, isn't it?

Edit: Yep.

Yup...These games are sweet, cursor based, but still sweet...I'm just so happy that they are finally going in this direction...These games are so easy to pick up and play, baserunning is simple, like it use to be on NES games...Nowadays it's too crazy with all the sim elements that impact gameplay...If you mapped stats in RBI back in the day, stats used to be pretty f'n realistic...especially in 2 and 3

If you guys want an american frame of reference for this...check out bottom of the 9th for ps1...That game used the engine that this game is still based off of...They've tweaked it immensely since then though

Looks very cool. If only it had wifi. Hopefully this sells well cause it looks like a perfect game for the DS also.

COUGH It has online Play COUGH at least the Japanese version is WiFI compatible...

I cannot wait for this. We should have suspected something when they licensed the MLB rosters for a Japanese game.

One cool thing I saw on the first screen shot. Wii Remote, Wii Classic Controller, and Gamecube controller all supported.

Tons of screenshots at Gaming-age

I've never played these, but the Power Pro series is supposedly pretty fun/awesome right?

This might be the first sports game I pay MSRP since... forever.
wow, looks crappy, why are people excited?
This is the wii we are talking about here. The Wii is all about gameplay!

Oddly enough, this will be the first 'realistic' baseball game for the Wii.

First day pickup for me.

Looks like you can buy items like bats that +power/control in certain situations - like with runners on base.

I used to play this series religiously on the SNES back in the day. This looks really good. I may have to pick this up.

RPG Baseball sounds so cool to me. That and the stats looks awesome, especially for a big baseball geek like myself.

I don't think that it will be coming out at that price point. Judging by the import store prices, I think it came out at full price in Japan and that doesn't bode well for a lower price here. Never know though.

I haven't heard anything else recently. I saw some screenshots of the MLB version that is going to be released in Japan, but that's all I have seen in the last week.
Buy.com has the PS2 version at $29.99 and the Wii version at $39.99. They state the release date as 10/2/07 for both.
Dont forget $10 off for google checkout....$29.99

Definitely not a good date since baseball would be in the playoffs and nearing completion by then.. too bad they couldn't wait until March or something.

Well, if they only have the MLB license for this year, that might be the reason they're doing it now, before the season ends.

I'll be buying it without a question, hell I might buy both versions just to give them more support.

I can only hope that supporting this title will get us one step closer to getting the Pro Yakyuu Spirits engine and game brought over to the PS3 in the US.

You don't have a link for this do you? I'm dying to see how the stadiums and players are going to look...
Seems to be, assuming they string multiple seasons together.

I like Success mode, myself.
I do to. Actually, I like the whole package, and I like the multiple controller setup, making it easy for both beginners and veterans. I also love being able to bring my Mii's in. Whats funny is that I have both David Wright and Jose Reyes Miis!

I have been interested in this and just watched some videos on gamespot.com. Now I can't wait to get this, unless it received terrible reviews. It has a preorder price of $40 from Best Buy. At least it isn't $50.

Does anyone know if there will be any wifi available to download updated rosters?
Games coming this week, who's getting it?
I ordered it on Amazon and got the free shipping and no sales tax, but that means I won't be getting it this week. Free shipping is slllooooowwww.

Im gonna hit BB looking for it tomorrow but I dont have my hopes up. Everywhere says 10/4 including BB.com. Anyone have a review?

There's way too many games coming out this month, and the next. And I'm a bit low on cash.

So it's getting rented, can't wait though.

Damn, I pre-ordered it at Gamestop but I have no clue what they are charging. Website says $39.99 so hopefully that's what it is in store.
