Gah! A March Madness contest. Guess I'll enter, but I'll basically be filling the bracket randomly. I know jack-all about sports.

even if you dont know anything about sports most of the people that wins these kinds of games are people who know nothing about it ;p people who are into it get to technical with the stats and end up losing terribly. Like my wife for instance won her office poll and all she did was pick teams based on jersey color :/
 
I would usually think March Madness Bracket Contests offer NCAA or basketball related goods as prizes. But I actually despise most sports games and your prizes are great. I hope I don't get major upsets before the Sweet 16 like last year!
 
I know almost nothing about sports, but if this is the college thing I already know who I'm gonna pick to win.

You should create a Yahoo! Sports or ESPN CAG league so it's easier for you to organize. Once the bracket is out there, that is.

i suggest yahoo, i did a league last year with 15 people and no problems.
itll save u a lot of admin work. just email or pm us the league # and Pw and we fill out the brackets ourselves :D

please pm me when the time comes!

I think it could be the same URL once they update it. That'll prolly happen next week or the week after. But yeah I agree, setting up a group on ESPN or Yahoo would make it way easier for you to organize.

Villanova is playing some good ball right now, they are really turning it on. Im a UK fan so as it sits right now I dont see them even making the ncaa, but there is always hope, maybe a win over SCAR tonight can get us closer.

Also decided on yahoo, anyone with experience in making a private league for this sort of thing on yahoo please reply ive never done anything like that before, im going to poke around on yahoo and try and figure it out myself but any help is appreciated.

Click on create group. I've never created a tournament group, but at least for baseball you can customize the scoring to how you want it to be. You can also set it up with a password so that it's a private group that only CAG's can join. It also looks like you can allow people to have multiple brackets if you so wish, so there should be some different options you can set.

lol yup she actually had elite 8 from there all correct which is what won it for her :/ most people miss the upsets in the first two rounds but end up getting the final 8 teams right oddly enough, unless its a cinderella year and a lower seed team hits the sweet sixteen or further, possible cinderellas to watch this year, Maryland if they make the dance, and Davidson, steph curry will be back people!

thanks to everyone whos joined so far, and those apprehensive about joining, look at it this way, its free to enter even if you know squat about basketball and all you have to do is take some guesses at a bracket. Free copy of persona 4 is at stakes, whilst the rest of the prizes arent great great its still free!

Thats the beauty of college basketball in march, teams that should win it all get dropped in round 2 by a team no one sees coming. Anyone can win these brackets especially this year when so many confrences have so many balanced teams. Its gonna be a tough stretch for anyone to win it all.

If I had my bet, Id say Oklahoma(if blake griffin is better) vs North Carolina but this is the ncaa tourney so i wouldnt bet on that ;)
 
Just curious, what's the max number of people we can have in this group? Also, if it fills up, will you be doing another group? Thanks!
 
Im not sure if there is a max number on yahoo, but im taking as many people who wanna join, sadly i only have 5 prizes to give out though, so the top 5 will win, in the event of a tie it will be who has the closest combined score prediction of the championship game.
