MMPR Megazord Reissue

Just watched an episode, I like the new opening, but only two things bothered me.
The KICK!, POW!, SWEEP, and SSSSSHANZZZZ! need to be left out, and they need to get rid of the titles under the zords. I think anyone can tell that the Big Red Tyrannosaurus belongs to the red tyrannosaurs ranger.
The rest of the stuff is bearable.

Yeah, I couldn't stand it, they dumbed down the fighting scenes and made it into a cheesy comic book show COUGH"60's Batman"COUGH such a shame, would of been just easier just to re-air the episodes intact maybe try and remastered the film footage, not just run it through Windows Movie Maker and be like THIS IS BRAND NEW!
So its gonna be $40+ for all six... :/
5.** at Walmart, roughly 6, it's like 5.89 or something, so use the $2 coupon on each, roughly $4 a figure.

I guess it depends if they let me use the coupon more than once lol

Then do it my way, step back a few steps, put all but 1 down on the side w/candy, buy one, use coupon, go back, grab next, repeat.

Yes, I am that much of an ass if they won't let me use my coupons.

While at WalMarts looking for the elusive $12 :br: sale titles, I checked the toy aisles to see how much the new MMPR figures are, and they ring up at $5.86.

I also found this Wally exclusive multipack that cost $14.96:

The figures looked to be the same scale as the new single figures, and it has Lord Dredd who isn't available as a single.

Lord Zedd. Hopefully he'll see a solo release, because those figures look like they have less articulation than the single figures.

Man, Disney really fucked up. I mean rewatching the show now, it was pretty corny anyway, in that 90s kids show kinda way, but Disney just kicked it up with those damn Batman style graphics.

I still have lots of old VHS tapes i bought back then, the whole green ranger series and others. Wonder how much those are worth now. Those toys look cheaper compared to the old ones.

Wow, thanks for posting that. Its hard to imagine how they made such a low budget show worse, but they did. I would have just been cheaper to keep it as is. And all the extra color would only cater to really young kids but those are the ones you don't want to show violence to. It looks like disney wanted it both ways.

I totally agree. When I heard they were updating it I was expecting 3D Zords and some better FXs, this feels more like a step backwards, with the stupid Adam West Batman graphics and the lame "comic book" cut-out shots.

I'm happy I have all the original episodes on my computer.

Great. Can't find one anywhere.
Local Walmarts plain out told me that they have no intention of stocking the megazord, just the Mix and Morph stuff.

I don't wanna pay $50 on ebay ;_;

Saw the Megazord and some of the other toys tonight at the Wa-Mart in Harahan, LA.

I was awfully tempted to grab it at $25 but I have no place to put it.

FOUND ONE!
Actually three, but I only bought one lol
Had to go out of town to get it, but man IM SO HAPPY.

Edit: Found it at a walmart in Feyetteville/Oak Hill WV

I saw one of these, it doesn't really look anything like the original. It's too small and looks cheaper.

Why does everyone want one so much? Nostalgia? Because something is better than nothing?

All the MMPR toys including the Megazord are all over the place here in Schaumburg, IL. I've found at least 5-10 at every Walmart and Target in the area in case anyone lives in IL.

The figures seem to be quite common, it's the Megazord that seems to be the hot ticket item...

I wish they'd re-release the 10 inch figures. Or whatever size they were. The originals....

I gotta say I was excited for this comeback on MMPR but they made the show look so much like a spoof or something. I hope enough people complain and they stop butchering it.

They seem to have toned the new effects down a bit for the last few episodes, but I still find the additions to be obnoxious and unnecessary. Do we really need the word "FLIP" written on-screen when someone does a flip? Are kids these days too stupid to know what it is without that tip?

Why else would they release movies about talking dogs... with attitude? Or make movies about tooth fairy wrestlers? Because the studio bigwigs think children are retarded!

Man, I've got to get the Megazord. Has anyone seen one in the NYC area?

This propmts me to buy DVDs of stuff like Animaniacs, and Looney Toons so my future kids won't suffer from poor programing in the future lol

Edit: And for any reason they decide to re-release a dragonzord it gotta be around the size of the Tyrannosaurs so it can combine with the other zords. So if it is released, I'm guessing its gonna be packaged with something else to make up for the size/price of it. Or it just might be stand-alone, and cost around $10-$15

Ok I've got my megazord reissue. :D But, Does anyone know where a good for the High Octane meagzord could be found? I'm looking for less than $20

Wal-Mart has had them on clearance for a while for less than $20.

As for Dragonzord, a rep at Toyfair said that sometime in 2011. It'll have lights and sound apparently....I think it'll come out sooner than that though.
