Wind took that one, definitely. Would've been an out on a normal night. Wind is blowing strong to right... Should help the Sox, I would imagine.

Beckett was dealing too, struck out the first two batters.
I guess Fox thinks so little of America that they'll not broadcast the National Anthem, the giant flag over the monster, the soldiers on the field, or the flyover, and instead show John Kruk and some commercials. Nice priorities, Fox! Now I'll switch over to your news channel where they'll tell me I'm not patriotic enough.
Since when is John Kruk on FOX?

I don't know who it was, but all baseball fatasses are John Kruk to me.
Maybe, though I guess it depends on how early this stuff's decided.

I wasn't suggesting that they thought it would be col and arz for the NLCS and bid on it, just that the world series ratings has tanked the past 2 years, and I would imagine the cs and ds series have as well. IMO, there are more national fans for AL teams then NL teams, so why would a network want to invest heavily in a ds and cs series when ratings have been tanking

MLB will probably start selling them together as a package because of this.

Unfortunatly, I am still at work so I don't have video, but the stats are looking real good for beckett...
edit...

i take that back, shit that was a quick inn...9 outs, 6k's

If you can download Sopcast, you can watch it on the computer.
How about getting kicked in our collective sack for 100 years. Does that make us deserving of a WS title?

EDIT: Oh that's what the D-Backs were upset about... Upton intetionally tried to take out Matsui so the ump called the double play. Looked like a good call to me. Upton slid past the bag and went out of his way (see turning his shoulder right into Kaz).
Yeah, I finally saw it as well.

Looked like a good call to me, I think people were just upset because we were getting so owned. At least the few punk asses who started throwing shit got arrested.

Slightly off-topic, but you guys should check out MLB Power Pros, pretty awesome arcade baseball game with a lot of depth.

I was thinking about getting that game for the Wii. Players look sorta goofy but I've heard nothing but good things about it.

who plays left field for the giants?

I'm pulling for Arizona in this one, so the Sox fans can take over their park like they did in interleague. Hell, they didn't even sell out their ALCS games.

I appreciate loyalty from fans who may have moved a great distance but still stick with their team. I'll be a Red Sox fan for life, no matter where I might be at the time. That said, there should still be enough Arizona natives to support that team. They are an expansion team, but they've won a World Series.

I know its not quite the same on the West coast when it comes to sports, they don't live and die with the teams like we do, they've got nice weather all year and they've got other things to do. But they can at least show up for the NLCS.

Yeah, I'm the same way... there is indeed a lack of Diamondbacks fans which is a damn shame, but for the few fans that exist, they are pretty devoted.

And yeah, they are an expansion team but winning a WS doesn't automatically equal fans. Even if it did, I wouldn't want fans like that, who only jump on the bandwagon when a team starts winning.

And it just takes time, the Diamondbacks have been around for a grand total of 8 years and most of our players started playing in the MLB around 2006. But in that regard, the D-backs are one amazing team.
The Red Sox need to not use their entire good half of their bullpen in the first 9 innings.
No kidding. This is getting rediculous, though it's nice to see after yesterday's game.

Now bringing it home to the Jake. :) I knew this series would be good. Both clubs have a lot of talent. Didn't expect a game like this, though. Time for bed. Night all! :)

I haven't screamed that much in awhile. Awesome...

To go back to Dafoomie's earlier point, I am Indians fan and I live in California. I haven't been in Cleveland for a long time but I still support all the teams (Browns, Cavs, Indians).

Same here although I haven't moved quite as far away. I live in Kansas City but still support all of my Chicago area teams (Cubs, Bears, and Fighting Irish).

I can't believe the way game #2 came out. I was watching the K-State Colorado game on ESPN2 and last I saw it was 6-6 in the 7th inning. I wake up this morning and see it was a 13-6 final and was like WTF!

School has had me moving from Ohio to Michigan, to Minnesota, to Winsonsin, yet Cleveland's got my teams.

I decided that I'l let my collegiate alliances blend with the environment, but for pro sports I've gotta back my Browns, Indians, and Cavs.

Horrible use of the bullpen by francona...delcarmen, oki, and timlin were all used for only 1 inn...they had about a week off, why wouldn't you use them longer. Paps should not be brought in with a tie game ever. I would have let gagne continue to pitch, lester hasn't pitched in a month and the other lefty doesn't get lefties out. Kyle snyder would have been the ideal guy in that situation, or fucking wakefield.
It's over. :D It's time for three straight games in Cleveland.
Frisky, are you a Cleveland fan or just an anti-Boston fan? ;)

Cleveland fan. Lived in Ohio all my life until a few years ago.

Wonderful to see some Tribe fans here. Born and raised just outside of Cleveland, currently just outside of Anaheim and so damn tired of Angels fans. The best part of Game 2 is that it was Trot Nixon who ruined it for Boston. :)

Tribe splits, Browns win. It's a good weekend.

Eric Byrnes is an idiot "The Rockies haven't outplayed us.... they've had a little luck go thier way." Yeah and sweeping the Cubs was just luck as well. The Cubs actually outplayed the D-Backs, they just got lucky on those homerun swings and all of those ground balls that lead to the Cubs hitting into double plays....:dunce:

What a buffoon, I guess it was bad luck that caused him to futily throw the ball and his body towards home allowing the runner to advance to second.
