Wow, the fielding on display in the second half of this game is absolutely stellar. I guess the basics are sort of forgotten after Little League. Like the second baseman getting his ass over to first when there's a bunt.

Hmm... has Papelbon pitched two innings much? I never like the idea of throwing your star closer into a new situation.

C'mon tribe how bout a 3 run jack.

Wow, horrible call by the 3rd base coach. Lofton was rounding 3rd and Ramirez hadn't even gotten to the ball yet. I just switched over from the Broncos game to catch the Boston 2 run homer and the replay of "The Hold"

Oh come on!! Not many 2B make that play with Sizemore running, with all of the defensives gaffes in this game, you would think you could pick a play that was a true mistake. Like Lugo's error, or Blake's error, Pedroia's double clutch.

Really? Last I checked the game ended after 9 inning.

And being from Rhode Island you should know that the game ain't over until the ball goes throw the first baseman's legs.

If and I repeat IF the Indians lose. The thing I will remember most is Travis Hafner's 48 strike outs. He has worn the sombrero a few times in this series.

According to Cleveland, the series ended in game 5. Is that why they haven't shown up since? (my apologies to Indians fans who were not so presumptuous)
dont they always have those ready
Yes, but Cleveland started selling them after game 5. It was also the main banner on the Indians website for a while.

This didn't tick me off. I was more ticked when the players were jumping around after game 3 like they won the series.
Yikes, talk about adding insult to injury...

Congrats Red Sox and GO ROCKIES!
Once again, am I missing somethnig? Did the game end and my TV froze so now I'm behind? Time loops maybe?
. Boston is out of it.

I'd be quiet.

That's because it's the Red Sox, you should know that. The Red Sox curse was or is real.

My dad was a Red Sox fan, and all the times I remember him yelling at night over the games, and he never saw them win a World Series.

Sox are trying to protect against the 7-run inning. I am only half joking.

Wedge stayed with his security blanket a little too long. The way Westbrook was pitching, I am surprised he didn't at least wait until he allowed another baserunner. He would have began with the bottom of the sox line-up to start the next inning. (if I remember correctly)
Good to see the Red Sox fans show their true colors in this thread.
What was said, I want to smack them. I was truly terrified of blowing the lead at several moments of the game. Karma is a bitch
Sox are now protected against the 7-run inning. I believe all 4 wins they scored double-digit runs. Not bad with ALCS record number of double plays.
They were playing with fire all night. It worked out with Westbrook, and burned them with Betancourt, he should've been out quicker.

It ain't over yet.*

*I have to be negitive otherwise they don't win. If I wear my dad's Red Sox shirt they also lose. I wore it for game 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 and they lost both.

What's even more scary is the Sox could have had more runs if they didn't ground into so many double plays.

Yes, this is now 100% Gagne proof.

Red Sox and Patriots offensive explosion? On the same day? Jesus.
Are we sure the Pats aren't cheating this time?
