No, we might get killed by the asshole cops.
Its alright now, they got rid of the pepper guns and brought back the giant wood ass whoopin sticks. A good time will be had by all.

yeah I heard that somewhere. Why where the cops so dumb to shot a gun, even if it's not a gun gun, in someone face?
I feel bad for the Indian fans. I know all too well what it's like to be on the brink of the series up 3-1 and see it all fall apart. Also I have to say you Manny. After your stupid ass comments you didn't deserve to win this series.

He had no stupid comments, only stupidly taken out of context by reporters.

Ha, and they put a mic in front of his face and asked his dumb ass about the play with Lofton. "Mumble, mumble... My fault, I should have mumble, mumble..."
Classic. He had nothing to do with that play, it was the base coach!
The worst part of it is, the retaliation WILL come next year for his homerun trot a few days ago. The Indians have no stones, but they will make amends for it, what?!! Next year??? Perfect. Way to go Cleveland... You make me proud.
Edit: I will say this, Papelbon is off the hook. At least some guys are just crazy to begin with!
Cleveland had a good squad and could've pulled this thing out. If one of Sabathia or Carmona doesn't go Chernobyl, they almost certainly win.
I thought he was talking about the play where Manny threw Lofton out at second.

Myers wasn't really clear with the question. The only thing I understood out of his mouth was about Lofton. I thought he was referring to the play where Lofton got stopped at 3B. I think that was a good call by the 3B coach, because if Manny had been paying attention, he may have gunned down Lofton again. I believe thats why Lofton was held up at 3B.
Oh yeah, way to come back from the brink again BoSox. Now the toughest test yet, slowing down the Rockies. Didn't realize that Becketts worst outing of the season, was against the Rockies at Fenway. He gave up 6 runs in that game.
I thought he was talking about the play where Manny threw Lofton out at second.
Even if he was talking about the play he threw Lofton out at second, how the hell is that "my fault?" Bad choice of wording, period! But I do think he was talking about the play when Lofton was held up.
That was 4 months ago, things change.
But the Rockies are.... I can't even think of a word. They have won 21 of 22?!
I just hope it's a fight for whomever wins.
Just throwing that out there. Atmosphere is definitely going to be different. The Sox know what to expect from the Rockies this time around. And I think Coors Field is just what Papi and Manny need to rejuvinate their bats.
How did the pitching go so south?
I don't want to talk about it.
they were overworked...both cc and carmona pitched about 50 more inn then there previous high...Beckett threw 42 or so less inn then carmona, and he still has electric stuff, while cc and carmona seemed to be aiming to the plate rather then letting it fly.
I'm so glad the Red Sox won, only reason why i'd bother watching baseball. Also a tip to Cleveland, don't start celebrating until you've actually won the series, idiots.
I don't mean to start an argument on the internet (you made the first move though) but I don't remember anyone in Cleveland (fans or the team) celebrating.
There are many ways I could poke back, extend a internet shouting match and such but I won't. All I can say is I hope Colorado sweeps the WS.
Why do we need a new thread? Pointless.
Thats what I was thinking.
Man, it impossible to get tickets for the world series. And I don't mean that they are sold out, the mlb servers are overloaded, can't even buy them. I'm in Colorado, they had a press conference saying that only a few hundred got sold, and they suspended sales until they can get their servers running. Thats what happens when you make ticket sales for the WORLD SERIES online only
Why do we need a new thread? Pointless.
Because I felt the need for a new one. That and I wanted to fresh the MLB thread up for the World Series and off season. 72 pages is a lot (20 posts per)
as for last year the NL winning, you have to remeber that detroit had about 8 days off last year. They did not play the same after that rest in the WS as they did the rest of the playoffs. IMO the sox are a better team by a tad, but the layoff is going to kill colorado, and by the time they wake up from it they will be in a big hole.
