No offense but in my opinion the shipping fee is quite steep if you ask me. I mean comeon, $24.95! I doubt ebgames charges that much.

I must concur with Dijital & Scorch. You're even charging full shipping fee if the winner decides to do a local pickup.

You guys are absolutely correct; $24.95 is over the actual cost of shipping. That's why the price listed is called shippling and handling. Sellers recoup some of their expenses through this fee, i.e. packaging, travel, time, etc.

Also, I based my $24.95 off of the current auctions on Ebay. Do a search for PS2s, check out the PS2 slims for sale, and you will see that the overwhelming majority of shipping charges are a flat $25.

Bidders/buyers almost always include this fee into their maximum bidding price... Dijital, you're right in saying that EBGames probably doesn't charge that much, but the buyer may win this auction for less than $100 for a total cheaper than EBGames.

Finally, my decision to charge the full shipping price, gerbly, is based off of prior experiences. I did a local pick up in the past, and I had to wait just over an hour for the buyer to show up... I would say that my time/hassle is worth something there.

As a seller myself, you really have to look at the other side. With ebay fees, paypal fees, shiping, box, packaging, gas, time etc. the price to actually ship it sky rockets. For example, I just sold a $21 game. I paid 1.07 in paypal fees, about 1.50 in ebay fees, 60 cents for the buble mailer, and 2.00 for shipping. Plus you add the 10 minute drive to the post office and however far I drove to actually buy the game. I charge $4, double the cost of actual shipping but I'm still losing money. I probably would charge $20 for shipping a ps2 (I charged that for shipping a turbo grafx with cd adaptor, and that is heavier), but 25 is not absurd. I'd guess it'll cost $10-12 to ship, $4-5 in ebay fees (listing and final value), $1 in packaging, and 3.50 in paypal fees (I have a $150 sale and was charged 4.80 by paypal). That's about $20 right there, plus then you add gas and time.
If he gave free shipping, it would go for $150, if he charges $25 shipping, it goes for $125. What's so hard to figure out about that?
Um...There cheap ass gamers, not cheap ass scholars??

It should go for that, but it doesn't work that way. I've had items I couldn't sell for 20+ 4 shipping for two straight 7 days auctions, but I upped it them to 28 (had four of them) with free ship and all four sold within the week. Another time I had a game I couldn't sell for 30 with 4 ship, but was able to sell for 40 with free ship. Sometimes it works the other way to, where the free ship auctions go for the same as the regular auctions.
You can ship that for under $10 via Priority Mail, or UPS.

 nice way to make $1.25 off of the 2 month trial sub to XBOX live...why didn't i think of this?
Thanks trust. My friends and I used to move BB's unwanted 2 month trials at a constant $5.99 each. Halo 2 destroyed their value!!! :)

You got it.
why are you selling?
I had a fair amount of Blockbuster store credit that I was tired of carrying around, and PS2s sell better than Blockbuster gift cards!
