not to be picky or anything, but the title is actually jak and Daxter the precursors legacy

i totally new one of them was that, but "the precursors legacy" threw me off
i was thinking at first it was Sui Ko Den 3 LOL

Well, there is no "Jak and Daxter 2," it's just "Jak 2," so I went down instead of up.
 
But "Jak And Daxter II" doesn't exist, so I assumed that was a - instead of a + (to "Jak And Daxter 0," basically).

Awesome, "Jak and Daxter 2" doesn't even exist like I said. It's "Jak 2." Way to proofread your own contest. Do you have a pirated version of the game or did you just not look at the box, manual, or game disc?

I'm not trying to be a bitch... well, yeah I am. It's not really fair to fuck something up like that when it's a code. Garfep should probably still get the winnings, but you have to be more careful.

See my custom title. Yes, it is cool to hold a contest, and I think it's wonderful and all, and that he is doing CAG a great service, but it's pretty unfair to not proofread it and check you're posting an actual game. Imagine if this were a real contest from a corporation and this was pulled. They would likely have to go to court.

If you're going to try something complicated like that for a contest, make sure you actually get the code right. Oh, and the game name too.

This is what's going to happen:

garfep will be getting the lot as advertised. They were the first to figure out the code.

joshythegreat will also be getting a prize of some kind, it will be something nice.

Also, regarding the Jak II thing: I chose to refer to it as Jak and Daxter II because I feared that simply Jak II would give the code away too easily.

lol, well it doesn't really matter anyway for this contest. It's not like that II completely threw everyone off or anything. If you understood the code you would have known it was Jak and Daxter at least, and then he would have given it to whoever mentioned at least "Jak and Daxter" first. So whatever...no point in being so hard on him if he's handing out free games. I know I'd be ticked if someone started insulting me after I was handing out free games and making fun contests.

check the first page xD, its like +1/-1 for each letter, it was supposed to be -/+/-/+/-/+ but it messed up a bit at the Jak and Daxter part. But you'd know it good enough anyway if you got the first 3.

Not if it states that you'll win such and such and it is actually impossible to win given the clues, yet someone guesses and the corporation claims it is right and awards the "winner" when it is actually wrong because there is no right answer. Someone will sue them and they will go to court in today's sue-society.

And he's also doing this for publicity as well, if you didn't notice. He has his own eBay store and trades games here. Like I said, I think it's great he's giving away free games, but I didn't stay up way past the time I should have for a contest that was impossible to win from the start, yet someone won anyway.

And no, I don't want a game that bad. Like I said, I don't even care for any of the games in this batch. I just get pissed off when the rules are bended like this.

Am I the only one around here who gives a shit about the rules???

Knight, changing that one little word would have changed nothing, and you know it. You had four other games to decipher that worked perfectly well. This can;t be compared to a court situation, cause it's for fun and just guys goofing off. If you want to get so serious about it, you really shouldn't be playing quite honestly. Maybe stick to licensed corporations contests or whatever it's called...
 
Theres no way anybody is stupid enough to decipher that code and then say:

"Oh wait, theres no such thing as 'Jak and Daxter II', theres only 'Jak II'. The answer must be something different."
 
I think some people (and we know who they are) just need to relax. Take it for what it is: A generous gesture by a CAG that went wrong. We all make mistakes, it happens. To sit here and complain about it when somebody is doing something kind for other people is juvenile at best, ungrateful at worst.
 
I blame everything that went wrong on April Fools. Even though everything went down legit in the end, I know it had something to do with this *shifty eyes*.

(I only use two fingers but I have a sense where the keys are from typing all these years...I cheated in juniour high type class...or just didn't care :lol:)
