As far as TV goes your going to need a VGA Tuner Box, they range from $50 to $100+. Another option is to contact your cable company and see what type of cable box they offer, most of the newer cable boxes offer HDMI, but some have DVI also. Comcast in my area offered a Cable box with dvi and all I had to do was buy a DVI cable to connect the two togeter. You can get a HDMI cable box and buy a cable the converts between the two, which I have done also (HDMI-DVI). If you decide to buy your own vga tuner box try and buy one that has composite and s-video inputs, so you can connect other things to aswell (xbox, playstation, nintendo). Since you monitor has two inputs you could use one for the tuner and the other for something else (PC, Game Console). If you could be more specific on what you are trying to hook up, I could be of more help. (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Xbox1, ect...) Hope this helps.......

Well I mainly want to hook up my wii/ps2 (both I have compontent cables for too). As far as TV goes, I was just wondering what exactly one had to do for it. I knew someone who had what seemed to be a small plug of some sort that he put his cable wire into. I would be more interested in getting something like that I suppose.

And yes this has been VERY helpful! Thanks a lot!

I believe the adapter your talking about allows component video to be inserted into the vga port of the display device. Those cables/adapters allow the component video signal to pass thru the vga port on the device, mainly like lcd projectors. You would have to check with the manufacturer to see if such a cable/adapter would work/compatible on your lcd screen or not. I would highly doubt that it would as it is not a standard feature for most display devices, but I could be wrong. If it is not compatible with the cable/adapter you would need a component video to vga converter box, and they start @ $150

If you read the article on that page it tells you the same thing I have already stated, that it will work if you display device supports Y-Pr-Pb (Component) through the HD15 (VGA) connector.

This converter will allow you to get 480P out of the consoles. Price is $179

Hope that helps you some more. If you have any questions please feel free to pm me. I am sure with some more digging I could find better prices for either of those devices.
