EDIT: Speaking of which, just got back from EB.. gave me a flyer saying that you can get either Sonic Heroes, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance III, Prince of Persia or Final Fantasy X-2 when you trade in the 4 non-sports games.

EDIT II: Checked another flier, deal's good on MTX Mototrax, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Tenchu: Return from Darkness, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Driv3r (Driver 3) and Silent Scope Complete as well.

Can anyone else confirm. Haven't been to EB in about a week, so these could be new. I would like to pick up a few of these games myself.
They can still all be the same games still right?
Nope, I believe they have to be 4 different games now.

You can send in the same games, but now it's 5 games instead of 4 games. Now, this is just not worth it anymore. Anyway, I took advantage of the 4 trade in games a looong time ago and now I have a lot of coupons to use. It might be worthy to some plp, but 5 games is just too many games for just a $50 credit. Maybe some can get $5 games or less, but it very difficult to find them.

I just buy used $7.99 games off ebgames.com and use the 25% off code. Its still definitaly worth it, it will be around $30 now, but still worth saving $20.

So I work at an EBGAmes and I can explain the rules. The bottom line is it all depends on who you talk to you when you go there. IF you're friends with the people, then they'll probably bend the rules for you. If you're just a customer and don't spend a lot of time there and just, I dunno, loiter... they'll probably not.

So the rules: they have to have box and instructions, they can't be sports (tony hawk counts as a sport game), and they can't be POX. POX just means, for the most part, that these games are either really old or really cheap new and the store doesn't plan on selling too many of them.

So some games won't work... like Onimusha, wipeout, Gungrave all shouldn't really have worked. The ad says 'some exclusions apply'... and, well, there's a lot more than just 'some'. However, games like Midnight Club 1, MoH: Frontline, Enter the Matrix, Myst 3 do work because I personally traded those in for FF: Crystal Chronicles.

Just fyi.

It was too good to last. I just checked, and the master is right, they upped the online trades to 5 games (and the FFXI trade is gone, although it is still listed on the FFXI product page, the trade has actually been replaced by 5 games for Halo 2 trade).
So, what do you guys do? Buy 4 cheap $5 games whenever there is a deal on them, take them in there and get the new game? I have always hated the idea of trading in games, but if thats how you do it, it makes plenty of sense
Actually...that IS how most of the people on the site do it. :D

It's too bad that they don't have any GBA deals - maybe trade in two games for a new GBA title?

But you can still probably use these games for the online trade-in right? i hope so because Onimusha and Gungrave were both games I wanted to trade -in for Halo 2.

Yeah as far as I know, the whole POX thing doesn't apply to the online one, only the genres they specifically mention (wrestling, baseball, basketball, etc.) so something like Haven or Gungrave should still work. 5 games instead of 4 does make it less worth it, though.
