Mortal Kombat (9) & A Good Arcade Stick

So I'm thinking I'm actually going to preorder MK since the TE is back in stock @Amazon. Can anyone comment if they think the fight stick would be worth the investment? I initially passed because I'm not a huge fan of the layout and I would be using it for all my fighters as I don't have a stick yet. I think I'm better off getting a different one. Anyone have suggestions on a good one? Either platform unless there's one that would work on both. I have a Soul Calibur II one that works on xbox/ps2/gamecube so it has been done and would prefer a cross-platform stick given the investment.

Also I noticed in the description of the game it comes with MK goodies for your avatar on both PS3/360. Anyone know what these are? I may end up buying it on 360 just for the avatar stuff.

If you liked MK in the arcades back in the day and are good with a stick, then this is the stick for you. The stick and buttons layout are the exact same form used back then. This is going to be a gorgeous stick and it also has memory foam on the underneath for comfort on your lap. Plus it comes in a nice case for storage. The MK goodies are avatar clothes (ninja costumes) for 360, and for PS3, I believe they are PS Home outfits. Hope this helps.

Yea I played MK in the arcades but I didn't like the button layout then
I'm sure the stick is of good quality. I read it's got a great build to it and interchangeable parts so it's definitely the real deal. Thinking I might get the MvC3 stick if I get anything. Though these prices are FAR too steep for me to invest in. Especially since they are not multiplatform sticks

I saw a pic on the xbox listing showing a kung lao avatar suit. If that's the case I'm sold. Kung Lao is one of my all-time favs.

Don't get the MK stick if you don't like the layout on it. Just go with one of the good Madcatz Street Fighter/MvC sticks and get the KE of MK9 if you want the Kung Lao costume.
