Motherboards

I'm looking to build a new computer and am trying to decide which motherboard to buy. I'm thinking about the Asus A8R32-MVP since it supports the Athlon X2 processor, but I'm not sure.

Can anyone give me an opinion or even a better suggestion? Thanks :)

Speaking as the owner of a X2 4200, don't go dual core. It causes some compatibility issues with games. Some games wont even start because they can't pick a CPU to use.

I got one of the 'Lanparty' motherboard kits from DFI and I love it. It's an overclocker's paradise. Mine's an older model at this point, but they have new one's out now. I'm not sure on the compatability of the new ones.

Do you have any examples of which games won't start?

Any based of the unreal engine for starters.

There is a program you can use though that assigns it a processor, but you have to know about the problem and the fix. Most people just go 'oh... it doesn't work'
