Don't forget that this May 11 is Mother's Day.
Are you plan to buy a gift for your dear mother?

I suggest everyone buy their mother a small island and fill it with hallmark stuff and then napalm strikes lol! pew pew pew! then as it burn write ur mom a song and sing to her about how great she is and roast marshdogs (my combination of marshmallow and hotdogs) on the hallmark fire. Then say ur so great mom happy mom day, and I think that is good suggestions to follow. Do it make ur mom happy.
 
I'm taking her to see Vicente Fernández show, who is a VERY famous ranchera singer internationally. She's never seen him perform before, so this is very exciting for my mom because she's a big fan of his music. :)

Me too, unfortunately until people stop letting the greeting card companies tell them when, what, who, and how to celebrate things I'm forced to buying gifts for these stupid holidays. One year I didn't get anyone gifts for these manufactured holidays and the reactions I got forced me to change that policy.

I don't think it's pointless. I understand this works like Valentines Day, and you shouldn't show your mother appreciation for one day, it should be everyday..but still. I find nothing wrong with dedicating a day to moms, dads, and you're significant other.

I'm thinking maybe I'll take my mom and my BF's mom out (and him too lol) to dinner for the 4 of us. Maybe that could be a good time :whistle2:k
 
I'm planting a flower for earth day and then give it to my mom on mothers day. knocked out two holidays with one pot of flowers.
 
I got her tickets to some art gallery showey thing I'll probably get a her a digital frame too and fill it with pictures of me lol
 
Sending pictures of the kids to her. THats all I can afford because we're trying to move and it's taking longer than expected. But that always makes my mom happy. She complains I never send enough pics.

The idea of mother's day is cool and all but it has become something else. Like most other holidays, it's an over-commercialized holiday that perpetuated the materialistic notion that you need to spend money and buy stuff to be able to convey ones appreciation/feelings/love for another. If you don't conform to these cultural values of buying stuff then you are branded as being cheap or uncaring, etc.

awesome, Don't know what I'm getting my mother yet, will figure something out before that tho.
