Motorola RAZR: $9.99 @ CompUSA w/TMobile Upgrade or New Activation

I already have a RAZR with T-Mobile, just started a plan last November. For $10 this seems like a pretty good, I wouldn't mind paying $10 for a brand new one. How does this deal work if I'm already with T-Mobile?

I need a cellphone...
I had one...
Now I need one again, a girl asked for my # 2 days ago....
Must talk to her....

Okay, this is too funny because my girlfriend just upgraded with new contract to a RAZR on Sunday thorugh T-Mobile's storefront for a hundred bucks and this pops up well that sucks.
Pretty sure amazon has this for free...
Only for new customers, not for upgrades.

im with t-mobile and my plan is not over yet. i can just walk in and give them $10 for a razr? please explain the upgrade

To upgrade, you need to be on ur 11th month as a t-mobile coustomer. and you have to be eligible for an upgrade and need to sign up for 1 year. For me im a new customer and BAM $10.42. The sales rep didnt know about the promotion until he called his boss so yea, if they dont know tell them to ask someone higher up.

Im sure you can cancel in the 14 days right? Then go to CompUSA by tomorrow to get the deal on. This deal ends on Saturday, the 18th peoples.

No, you need to NOT be BEFORE your 11th month into an upgrade.

And how to upgrade? I walked in and talked to the cellphone guy. I said I wanted to upgrade. He checked my account, everything checked out and we went to the register with the cell phone. The ad says new activation, but on the sheet the cashier had to type in the codes it said and "qualified upgrades." So, I walked out with a RAZR at $10.90.

And as for Amazon, that's a better deal, technically. But this involves NO mail in rebates to get the dea. It's $10 and it's yours.

My dad went to Comp USA last night and got one cause he's had his phone for way over 11 months, they upgraded it no problem. He says thanks munch!

T-Mobile upgrades work like this. It's simple, really.

You can get an upgrade pretty much at any time. 2 year contracts will get you the best discount, although 1 year contracts are available. You can also get an upgrade with no contract but it'll cost you damn near retail.

11 months since your last upgrade, and if you have been on an eligible rate plan for that entire 11 months (which is pretty much every plan, so don't worry about that), you will hit the sweet spot of upgrades, and be eligble not only for 2 year contract discounts but additional mail-in rebates as well.

how exactly do they check your account?
do you just give them your number?

is it possible for me to upgrade if im under a family plan?
Is there a Comp USA around Auburn, AL? I just saw that the OP is from there.

Mobile number pulls up your acct. Each line on a family plan accrues it's own tenure, so yes, they're eligible.

Damn. I missed out. I'll just upgrade when the plan is over.

Somehow I missed this deal. My Sidekick II broke on Sunday, bought a T-Mobile SDA today for $200. I'm still pretty happy.
