I'm probably going to wait for the PS2 version to (hopefully) go on clearance at Target. The Motorstorm games are fun but I can't imagine paying full price for one of them.

I've been playing this for review and it's a lot of fun. Besides things that are affected by the visual difference between the PS3 and PSP, it's pretty much the same experience. The avalanches are pretty cool to see, though I've been lucky enough to not get caught up in one so far. The only downsides are that you don't have the same level of environmental interaction (destructible signs, fences, and structures) and it's a bit easier to crash since your vehicles can more easily get caught up in weird geometry. You can take screenshots in the same manner as PR, which is nice. I'll see if I can post some of those when I get the chance.

I was lucky enough to grab a copy from a local GameStop this afternoon. So far I've played one single player race and one multi-player race. The game feels just like Motorstorm and the online was smooth with 5 players (max 6). Single player races have up to 10 racers. The graphics are very good and there is a neat in-game photo mode. It also supports MP3 songs for custom playlists. The box mentions "Add-On Content" support so hopefully we'll see some new tracks/cars/skins in the future.

Looking forward to spending more time with the game, very happy to have a quality racer with online play for PSP.

Edit: Looks like Amazon has the game listed for $31.99 right now. http://www.amazon.com/MotorStorm-Arctic-Edge-Sony-PSP/

I finally got around to playing it. Definitely lives up to the MotorStorm name. Absolutely loving it so far, but I had to switch to classic controls.

see i really wish they released a demo for this. i dont have a PS3 or have ever played the motorstorm games but it looks interesting enough id like to try it. guess i'll wait to find a sweet enough deal for it. id hate to spend 40 bucks on a game i really dont enjoy

This is pretty rad. I like the custom soundtrack support but it's not obvious how to do it. You need to put your music under X:/PSP/MUSIC, X being your PSP drive. It's picky about bitrates too.

I might have to pick up a Motorstorm game for PS3.

If you do, get Pacific Rift. It's the better of the two.

I'm definitely planning on buying this, it looks awesome. Also, these are the types of games I prefer to see on the PSP, instead of Gran Turismo which is a completely serious racer, I really like Arcade racers much, much better. They work really well for a handheld.
