A Little Bit of New (to me, anyway) Information Regarding Best Buy
As seen in their new ad, they'll soon start up the McDonald's Best Buy Bucks program again. You'll have a chance to win $1 Bucks, $3 Bucks and from what I understand, Reward Zone points. The bucks will be on 6oz Large Fries and Premium Chicken Sandwich Packages. Not available in Canada, Guam, Saipan or any Wal-Mart McDonald's. The program will end 10.31.

Also, their new ad states that you'll soon be allowed to use your Gift Cards and check it's balance online. This is new to me, I don't recall being allowed to do this yet. I did notice (a week or so ago) that you're aloud to enter your Reward Zone Member # in online purchases, which is pretty cool IMO. Hopefully, we're only one step away from being allowed to input Coupon Codes (such as the GGC) online as well, then I'll never have a reason to step foot inside another Best Buy ever again.

I've personally found them inside of Nip/Tuck s2 & Smallville s4.

wow, i was about to buy lois and clark used off of wherehouse.com with the 33% off code, but it looks like i'll save even more at target, and i'll be getting it brand new. thanks for the heads up man!! i really appreciate it. i'm finally gonna be able to pick up S1 of smallville, too. totally awesome!
 
Damnit, I don't shop at Target because they don't support Veterans or the Salvation Army. So the selected others, I will never know.
 
Is The Warriors a good movie? I was thinking about preordering the game from GR, so I might pick this up. It might get me excited for the game. :)

DemomanTNA, why would you resist it because that my friend is a universal price drop for Smallville Season 1. It has been stated already by Roufuss at K-Mart and at Wal-mart that Warner has dropped the universal price of several season 1 sets to $19.99. These price drops should be happening at all stores within the next couple of weeks.

Also if you are real patient the deal with the rebate for Warner TV on DVD doesn't end until 6/30/06. For example:

Buy 6 at $18.88 each would be $113.28 before tax then you get $50 back from rebate.

$113.28 - $50 = $63.28 so in the end before tax you would only pay about $10.55 per set.
 
I wonder what the "selected others" on the TV Box Sets are... the price drops I listed in my other thread didn't include Gilmore Girls or One Tree Hill. I wonder what else dropped to 18.88?

An even cheaper price than K-mart?! Are these the sale price or the regular price drop price? It makes me wonder if they going to have any of these for the Black Friday sale. Gilmore Girls and Smallville would be great xmas presents for friends, but saving even more money and buying more gifts is better;)

Tempting to get those Gilmores sets for the wife. And really, what does it matter to you that a store that gives away a ton of money chose to not have those annoying bells? I never gave to them because I don't like giving money to churches. Don't be upset about not having a kettle, do something to get people to give year-round. Oh, and damn no good new releases.
 
I'm going to get the Golmore Girls S1/S2. My wife would love them. Hopefully BB will pricematch with no problems since I have RZ there.

Shit, I'd rather take the 110% Circuit City offers... they are currently 49.99 on their website, you're saving an additional 3 dollars on each set you pricematch there.

Im glad I waited on smallville, and I might even pick up gilmore girls for my gf, she loves that dam show lol...hopefully the other seasons not metioned are worth picking up aswell. As always, thanks again TSD!
 
Well, I just bought Lois & Clark yesterday at Wal-Mart for $19.86 because I thought they'd be sold out if I waited any longer. It's good to hear that these WB price drops are hitting other stores too. Unfortunately, I'm not really interested in any of the other shows. I'm not much of a fan of the shows on the WB, which is funny because I used to intern at a WB affiliate.

Hey, which WB dvds come with that form for the $50.00mail in rebate? I just bought Smallville Season 1 today at Wlamart. Didnt come with anything like that.

I'm gonna hang on to teh receipt. Disc 3 was craked too. :(

So if it doesnt work, I'm gonna be taking it back. I hate the packaging of this boxset.

That site is a horrible mess... can't find anything on it.

WB dosen't have alot of their TV shows on DVD it seems... unless they included some of their animated stuff as part of this sale as well. Getting Looney Tunes Golden Collection 1 for 18.88 would be amazing (considering they have a part 2 already and are releasing a part 3).

because s1 came out on dvd a while ago...this MIR deal started at the beginning of '05...so the s1 Smallville that you bought was probably packaged way before this deal started....i have a feeling that you'll have to buy at least something new for this to work, unless you come across a newly packaged s1 of something

yeah and noone has ever reported something on here that they saw on dvdtalk :roll: the whole 33% off wherehouse deal came from dvdtalk and the ddd sale usually does as well....they gave credit to us and everything...they even spelled the name out instead of simply putting "cag"...get over it, we're not the only people on the web trying to save money and find great deals...as long as credit is given, everything is great
