Halo remake for Q4 2011.
Dance Central 2.
Summer of Arcade lineup.
Hulu Plus date.
New Kinect games (GoW specifically).
 
MS is the new nintendo, so I make it a priority not to get excited for any conference..even more so when they tell gamers they'll be happy. Anything that gets announced will use that garbage Kinect in some form, automatically hindering it from reaching its potential.

Not sure what you mean. At least with Move you can attempt to play a real game, though if you want my opinion it's all garbage gimmicks.

The reviews I have heard about Killzone 3 is that if you use the Move controller you will get destroyed by people playing with regular controllers. Sounds like the Move is busted.

I just got 80 points for free from Microsoft and a message stating that they are working on making it easier to find things in the store (a PM on X-Box Live).

So I'm willing to guess that the store is getting some changes today.

Attempt is a good way to describe using Move for FPS games, I'm just glad that when Microsoft releases hardcore games that we won't have the options to flail around and pretend to shoot people without a controller. Really I don't mind the Kinect games that have been announced and I don't feel that it will be pulling that much focus off of the tried and true money makers. Companies are able to look at the mistakes that Nintendo has made with the Wii and learn from them...

If CES is any indicator, the trend in the industry is starting to move towards hosting your own events so your announcements don't all get lost in the noise.

Not saying they won't announce anything at E3, but I've noticed major companies announcing less and less at the big conventions, reserving it for their own.
 
I'll go against the grain and hope for news on new, as yet unannounced, Kinect games and software improvements (we know it's getting the ability to see facial expressions, but what about fingers?) Kinect is quite nifty if you ask me.

Somebody on that site said "Boom Blox Kinect". Yes, I'd buy that. Boom Blox is very cool, and would be even better on Kinect. A perfect match, in fact. To be clear, that was just some bozo speculating/hoping.
 
It's technically a two-day event; last night was the Gears of War 3 MP hands-on session. The embargo for that lifts tonight. The Showcase is scheduled from 12 to 6 today so hopefully I'll be able to break away from my game journalism duties to update you guys (I assume there's an embargo for today's stuff too). Oh and Terry Tate ended up on my iPhone contact list last night, for a very practical reason. Pic from outside the venue:

What's the point of that today with stand alone players being so cheap now? Would have made more sense a couple of years ago, but now with good players a bit over $100, and under that on Black Friday and other sales, an add on seems pointless to me.

You bring up a good point, sir, and I do already have a BR player... A 360 add-on would probably cost $150+ anyways. I'd like to rescind my previous wish!

I still don't get the hate for the current Dashboard. I like the look of it personally, find it easier to get to the different sections than the blades. it's a tad slower to sign in, but otherwise I don't notice much slowdown.

I would like it to be customizable so you can make your own start up screen section. All I need is option to launch current disc game in the system, game library for XBLA and Netflix on the first row. Maybe LastFM too as I use that occasionally when working at home. Never touch any of the other options much, just game marketplace occasionally for a Demo or DLC.
