MS Store price cuts on existing X1 VCR bundles (including Elite!)

Went to xbox.com looking for this week's sales and instead found a "New low price, $279" banner in my face.

Basically a $200 1TB SSD Xbox 1...

To be clear, it's a SSHD - Solid State Hybrid Drive. The 1 TB is a mechanical hard drive; the SS/flash memory partition is relatively small.

great title, VCR bundle/model.    when i saw xbox one, that is exactly what i thought. 

kudos to them with the xbox one s; great redeisgn.    I'm debating buying the new slim in order to have something better to resell than my current xbox one with eventually upgrade to scorpio.

Wow, feel bad for anyone who paid 500 for the Elite.

Had I actually spent $500 on it, so would I. However, I did Gamestop's $250 trade in. Got a free game and controller, too.

Man, an old elite is a good deal at $350. Basically a $200 1TB SSD Xbox 1 and the $150 controller. Bestbuy TIV on an original X1 is $105 and GameStop is $100. Wonder if they'll have any trade in deals that are better than that? Or if the S doesn't sell as well as expected if it will be bundled w games this holiday season?

Regardless how well S sells this year, there WILL be bundle deals for the Holidays.
One caveat though, I read (on Ign) that the S has a slightly better cpu/gpu (think New 3DS XL), so be cautious anyone who buys the black one.
