I think that's a tad harsh for possession and attempting to steal a PSP. Maybe Hartigan can take away his weapons.
 
hey man, dont hate him because he smokes pot... people live perfectly normal lives and can do great things even if they smoke pot, im mean, besides people on this board bill clinton, al gore, john kerry and george w bush all smoked pot, they seem to be doing alright........ that aside i say you press charges against the little fucker, you cant let him attempt to steal and get away with it, hell get a slap on the wrist

that dosent make it legal, nor a good idea, i understand there are positive-ish effects to drugs, but the kid is 15, should he be going out and getting hammered like george bush did in his college days?

use some common sence, just because respected people have used drugs does not mean they arnt illegal.

im not trying to say say pot is ok and should legal and all that, thats a different arguement, im just trying to say that people should judge him because he smokes pot. stealing is much worse, as is the ecstacy he had on him (i assume thats what the op meant by X)
 
Damn, at least he didn't get it from you. I would've added in a, "Damn, kid, you're fucked", as he was taken away by security.
 
I wouldn't continue to push charges. This kid is already fucked if this isn't his first offense. I say that because I know someone who was caught with pot and enough for "Intention to Sell" and he got away with probation. Although, the fact that he was also trying to steal could possibly send him to YDC. I'm not sure, but either way he's really regretting that or a dumbass. Well, nevermind, it's obvious he's already a dumbass.
 
Sorry to hear of your turn of events. I didnt read P2 did it hurt your PSP at all? Anyway what a dick that he would do something like that. God loved stupid ppl... thats why he makes so dam many of them.

Press charged. The drugs are completly unrelated. He needs to have a record of stealing when he does this again to someone else.

nose? wtf are you talking about? bush was always dumb, its not like he was super smart like clinton (who went to oxford, not bad for a smoker)
 
UPDATE:

I did continue to press charges, and he was in court this past Thursday. Seems he decided to plea guilty. Guess he, his lawyer, and parents struck a deal. He won't be getting much of a light slap- one year in a juvenile detention center, followed with 5 on house arrest, all pending good behavior. That was the gist of what I got from the call. Sadly, I could not be there, due to wonderful work and being the only one there that day. I've heard of three years and ten on house, so, guess he got away well enough. Bet he wishes he had a PSP for all that time at home now, now doesn't he?
 
and, the wince of one crumbling under a size fifteen shit kicker is all the pleasure one could get. This, is just icing for his being an idiot to-boot. As for deserving worse, imagine how long it took for those babies to drop aftwerwards.
