Muramasa the Demon Blade - $40 @ BB w/PM + $10 GC - YMMV?

nbskid

CAGiversary!
So, in the newspaper (Well, the Oregonian at least) there was an add for Muramasa for 39.99 at Frys. Now Best Buy is also giving out a 10 dollar gift card when you buy Muramasa if you sign up for a free membership for their reward zone "gamer's club", you can get a coupon for the gift card. So, new game for 40 bucks plus a ten dollar gift card, thought I'd let you guys know.

OP, any time they change the price of an item, either by manual price adjustment or via a PM, it negates the use of a coupon. You might be able to get this deal, though you'd have to have the cashier do this via some manual price work. It's a YMMV situation because the coupon would say "not applicable with other offers" or something like that.

Actually, Best Buy's price match policy specifically excludes matches of this type if they are already matching the price when the gift card is factored in. Not saying some manager won't approve it, but it's highly unlikely.

I have done this with both Punch-Out and the Metroid Prime Trilogy. Got BB to price match Fry's @ $42.99 and give me the Gamers Club $10 Gift Card on top of it. The first time it was easy, the second time the girl kept trying to manually change everything to make it work, but I think that even after they manually price match that scanning the coupon still automatically gives it to you.
Why not buy it at a normal register using the coupon, then walking over to customer service for the price adjustment?
Again, you are depending upon luck - hoping that the employee at the service desk either doesn't care or doesn't notice the discount applied on the receipt.

It also depends does the coupon adj the price of the software otherwise it's money in the bank at this point!!!
