MVP Baseball 2004 Petition requesting a fix

CAGiversary!
Not sure how many of you have this game, but there are some big flaws. For one, lefty batters have less power than righties in the game, which EA has admitted to. Also, Player progression is ridiculous. For example, I created a player who hit 86 home runs his first year. When it came time to do player progressions the next year, he lost over 20 points in his power rating. There are lots of other flaws too, which is why someone has started a petition on EA's message boards asking for EA to somehow fix the problem. Apparently they have already released a patch for the PC version which corrects these problems. Console owners have been left hanging.

Last year they sent new disks of Madden to people who purchased the game because fo some bug. Hopefully they will do the same with this game.

I wish I would have now. The Dynasty mode is what really attracted me to MVP baseball, but with player progression so screwed up, its not much fun. Hard to develop my future stars when they get worse after a great year.
There is a really easy fix for MVP.

Buy Sega ESPN.
that made me smile :)

Thats the best way to fix any EA sports game

Hey guys, I love Sega Sports' games waaaaay more than the typical EA Sports game, but this year I feel that MVP has ESPN 2K4 beat. I have both, and it seems that MVP 2004 is way better than 2003, but ESPN took a step back from WS 2K3. Of course, they are both buggy as hell. If you play it, you'll get what I'm saying. This is coming from a diehard Visual Concepts/Sega fan, too. Luckily, the rest of EA Sports' crap can't begin to hang with ESPN stuff.

mvp owns buddy, the problems in MVP dont take away from the awesome dynasty mode and EVER AWESOMER GAMEPLAY! :D

(and i had wsb 2k3 last year, so I know the story on that game, FUGLY graphics and player models)

Last year I think it was All-Star that actually was a good EA alternative.

From what I hear the new all-star for PS2 has problems but the Xbox version promises to address them..we shall see

Why are their so many EA bashers?

I'm not trying to bash EA, I just want my damn game fixed. The dynasty mode is so cool, but it sucks that you can't grow your own superstar players the way you should be able to because of the messed up progression.

1. EA has never made a good game.,

2. Sports sims are the tampons of video games

3. things always sound better in sets of three

Where did EA officially say anything about lefties? I know that the progression thing is something that was found in the game code, but I have seen nothing about the lefties other than whining. Eric Chavez has as many home runs as the rest of my Oakland team (about a dozen) after about a month of a season so far. He's also got 19 doubles, many of which banged off the wall in various parks.

From the guy that hates every thing.

I think we should all get along :D Let the EA fanboys have their game and the ESPN fans have their game. Just because people blindly buy the same game (usuually) every year does not mean that they shoudl be mocked.

The first one isn't totally true. While they have made ALOT of shitty games, a few are good. But when I say shitty, I mean games that are the same every year but ppl still pay $50 for them, you can guess which ones I'm talking about. I also hate EA because I'm an Xbox fanboy, though. But I really think ESPN Football is better than Madden, I tried both and ESPN seemed more realistic and tight, which is how I like it.

I hate when people call other people "EA Fanboys", if the game is better, it's better. Plus I hate to tell you, no sports game makes ridiculous changes every single year. They usually upgrade their engine about every three years. Other than that they try to perfect the newest one, and get the most out of it.

OK, OK, then it's worth it to buy one every three years.
