I have read both books and greatly enjoyed them -- considered keeping them even, but felt I wouldn't really read them again. I am fanatic about keeping my books in good shape and even hold them gingerly to avoid cracking the spine.

I would particularly recommend the Time Traveler's Wife. It's not science fiction, but it's not a goopy romance novel either. It's about a man with a disorder that causes him to pop around in time to different points of his life and the lives of those important to him. The author explores it in a really interesting and realistic way, dealing with what it would be like if this was your life, and particularly if you fell in love. If you're at all interested, I say give it a try.
