My battery runs out very quickly all of a sudden

I can't play a game for a few minutes without it running out. I play music all the time and it goes for a few hours but still not as long as it used to. Anybody have any solutions or at least had this problem? I know buying a new battery is an obvious choice but I'd like any suggestions on what type of battery to get, where they're cheapest etc.

You don't want to go the cheap route when it comes to batteries. Get yourself an official Sony battery, it may a little more expensive but at least it won't melt your PSP.
