things will pick up starting next month. black friday and next gen are comming and retailers want to clear space for the new consoles, have faith my friend !
local best buy here already has cleared space. completely rearranged everything, shrunk spaces, and put all the extra games 50% off, so i would say other best buy's will do the same soon. wii u and wii get only 4 feet each for new and used games (mixed in with new) and another 4 feet for accessories. the rest of that half aisle is 3ds and ds games, i think 4 feet for ds and 8 feet for 3ds. across this aisle is an entire side of sklyanders and disney infinity.

the sony section has 8 feet for new games, 4 for used, then 8 feet of accessories before you get to the 4 feet for vita. across from ps3 is 360, with the same amount of space, but i dont remember what was at the last 4 foot.

the next aisle is 8 foot of empty xbox one boxes, preorder cards and generally nothing. the rest of that aisle is pc gaming accessories, across from that is 8 feet or so of guides, and then a bunch of those peg hooks with general gaming cards followed by a 4 foot section of pc games.

that is the entire gaming section, accessory heavy, very little space for new games especially when the AAA games take up 3 or 4 spots by themselves. i did forget about the far aisle facing the tv wall, it is almost empty, literally just some overflow and things too big to fit in the new sections, headsets and accessories and about 10 ps2 games.

Of ALL stores, Best Buy should know better than to be tacky with that above MSRP comicalness. That's some Sears.com ish right there.

Best Buy deals have really been lacking the last few months though. All stores have been though.
Depends on what system(s) you're looking for. Wii U owners had great sales at Best Buy last week - Mass Effect 3 for $12, ZombiU, Call of Duty Black Ops II, Assassin's Creed III for $20 each, etc. Target had buy 2 get 1 free on Wii U last week.

When you guys say that BBY doesn't allow price match and coupon do you guys mean that the computer won't allow it or do you mean employees don't allow you to do it? Because I know a lot of the employees at my store now and they're super friendly. I was able to price match NCAA down to $39.99 and use the B2G1 coupon on them.

if you do a price match + coupon, when the coupon is scanned the PM'd price reverts back to the original price automatically. Only way around it is manager override.

I can live with GRID 2 for $20..I played a little of it inside a Fry's once and it was pretty sick. But damn, still have a few racers I need to finish..

In for GRID 2. And  at the 32mb Vita memory card price. I bought one from Gamestop a few weeks ago for $65 and was like, man, could have gotten it for $60 from BB had I waited a little, then, well you know.

When I go to print the coupon for in store use for Payday 2 it says "Save $20 on Payday 2" then lists the SKU's 9386058 and

9579071  which are showing to be $39.99 before I had them to the cart but it only lowers it to $29.99 once in the shopping cart. Is Payday 2 worth $19.99? I recommend you print the offer before you head to Best Buy because last time the POS wouldn't take off the coupon until I printed it at the register and I had already claimed the offer.

wow, yeah, its suppose to just be $10 off, wonder if it will scan $20 off or if you have to complain to get the extra $10

best buy still hasn't cut the price of the vita memory cards, is it possible to price match amazons price for the 32gb and also use the $20 off coupon? Amazon currently has it for $72.68, would be $52.68 with coupon and then I have a $20 reward certificate making it $32.68 if it would all work together.

In theory, but extreme YMMV.

That'll require manager override, which you're unlikely to get as that final price is under their cost. Managers sometimes approve double dips when the store is still coming out ok, but for a loss? Not often.

Walmart lists the 32gb card for 79.96, might be a way to pricematch before the coupon. Strangely, Amazon still lists the MSRP price as 99.99, though their actual price is 72.68.

No problems with my in store pick up. 32 gb vita card for 48.99 (68.99 price match to newegg over the phone last night and $20 off coupon applied in store) or $53.05 after tax.

was going to buy grid 2 used a few days ago for same price. glad I didn't.  I wish there was a demo to try though since I've read mixed reviews.  I still have forza horizon and gran turismo 4 to beat.

Great price on a 32gb card! Well worth this price considering how many games you can fit on it; I have about 60 on mine (mixture of all types).

Wait... you were able to apply a coupon in store after paying for it over the phone? I feel like this is very ymmv

I was. They cancelled the phone order in store, but I had written down the number I called, who I spoke to, what time I spoke with them, that I was told that they'd honor the double dipping, and the "case number" in case they didn't honor it so I could call back. The guy working customer service didn't even clear it with a manager, he just cancelled the old order, and did a new order. Took a total of maybe 5 minutes in store.

you know, except for all the games they have announced in the past month between Gamescom and TGS
How many are coming to NA and how many are that interesting? cause I remember at Gamescom not really seeing much. A band manager game, Borderlands 2, and Murasaki Baby are the ones I remember most.

I know Gravity Rush 2 was announced and that looks good, but still a ways off.

And a ridiculous load of indies. Some folks pooh pooh the indies as they can be picked up cheap on steam. But Vita often gets the most refined implementation (see e.g., Hotline Miami). And you can play them on the go, unlike Steam games.

I'm unbelievably stoked for Binding of Isaac as commute fodder.

I don't have a problem with indies at all, in fact I really enjoy them. I guess my problem is ive already played most of them cheap from steam sales and they are also going to PS3/PS4.

I guess its great if you do a lot of on the go gaming though. Just seems Sony never really did get a vision for their handheld markets.

Lot of great reasons to get a Vita. PS+ was what made me get one, you could practically live off of it, and never have to buy a game again.

Upcoming exclusives: Demon Gaze, Freedom Wars, Gravity Rush 2, Sorcery Saga, Tearaway, Valhalla Knights, Y’s Memories of Celceta, Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z.

Indie: Guacamelee, Limbo, Hotline Miami, Dragon Fantasy Book, Germinator, Retro City Rampage, Sound Shapes, Mutant Blobs Attack, Urban Trial Freestyle, Zombie Tycoon 2 and more.

Backwards Compatibility: Play almost all PS1 and PSP games on the OLED screen.

Cross Buy: Buy one title and get a copy for Vita at no additional cost.

Free multiplayer and Cross Game Chat.

PS4/Remote Play, Cross Controller support, Multi-tasking, instant pickup, play, pause, resume, skype.

For the same price as a 3DS XL, it is not really a bad deal, if you have PS+ anyways.

Called Best Buy's 1-800 # for PayDay.

Told him there was a coupon on My RZ and he said as a one-time exception, he could override the price. It came to $9.99 + tax.

There are plenty of great games out on Vita right now, and plenty more on the way. You're a drone if you think otherwise. :dunce:
No, im just a person not overly impressed with whats coming. A lot of it is just ports.

Like I said, the system is great and it does already have some really great games. But when you beat them (like 4 or 5 vita specific games) there isnt really much else to move on too (not counting indies, old psp or ps1 games)

I don't think the system is bad overall. It just lacks NEW games. If that makes more sense?

Hell debatably, its best game right now is a port of an order game.

Well, when you add it to your cart, it comes out to $29.99. So, I assume he deducted $20 from that price.
Hmm, interesting. Well after some experimentation it takes $10 off when adding to your cart because that's what the promo on the MyBBY page is but when you click the get coupon button it says $20 off. So wacky.

Yup, don't know why, but you should have success having the $20 taken off in-store via an override.

Hmm was gonna try and snag a payday 2 for 10$ after the coupon in store but now they changed the coupon on the my bestbuy site to 10$ . I swear I saw it said 20$ off before too ?

The coupon says $10 off, but when you open it for in-store, it says save $20 on the coupon itself.

Interesting on Payday.  But I'll pass.  Don't want to call or have any CS looking at my account until after November.  Saving $140 is worth more than saving $20.  ;)

So interesting thing when I went to go pick up my copy of Payday 2.

I've had my NBA 2k14 pre-ordered for in-store pick-up for a while now. When I went to go pickup Payday, I showed up the confirmation email for Payday and she asked me for my last name. She opened the cabinet for orders and brought out two games: Payday and NBA 2k14. I was like huh? As she brought it out, employee next to her said you can't sell that till tmrw.

Would've been funny to get it early. Would've told her anyways.

While in-store, I picked up another copy of Payday 2 for $19.99. Manager had to come and override the coupon.
