My only wild guess is that it's because Activision is giving Sony first dibs on the map packs. It's 30 days early access for the map packs for PS4 players. Take with a grain of salt, because I really don't know why.

Most likely the same reason why for years and years, Microsoft got first dibs on map packs. Shelling out some cash or the console is more popular.

What I find more ridiculous is the fact you can't even purchase a digital copy of any COD related item for Xbox at Best Buy. Even Gamestop only had the $99 digital copy of COD for Xbox, no regular digital copy available. Same thing happened with Destiny 2

I had to buy Xbox gift cards in order to purchase it from the Xbox Store.

Might be a mix of both in Sony's case this time around. Didn't they heavily promote Destiny 2 and Infinite Warfare for the PS4? I know Destiny 2 got its own limited edition PS4 Pro white console bundle and now COD: WW2 will have the LE Camo 1TB Slim bundle.
