I've been under the weather for about a week now, and I realized that I neglected to share my finds at Blockbuster. They were running (or maybe still are; I don't know) a deal: Buy any used game and get another half off. It works out to 2 for $15 (or 4 for $30, and so on), because 95% of the games were $9.99. The only catch is that the games have no manuals or cover art, and come in a plain plastic clear case. Still, it's a sweet deal, considering all of the great finds there. I wasn't about to pay $20-30 extra just for cover art and a manual anyway.
If I liked/had PS2, I'd be in heaven. Lots of great finds there. Hell, they even had copies of new-ish games like Snake Eater there for $10!
As usual, no love for the GameCube, just 5 or so old games there.
There were some good Xbox finds if you searched hard enough (the games were located on tables and sorted in racks as well; about 70% PS2, 25% Xbox, 5% other consisting of PS1, GameCube, Dreamcast, etc.).
Here's what I picked up (worked out to $7.50 per game!), all Xbox disc-only:
Ninja Gaiden (mint)
Fable (mint)
Def Jam: Fight for New York (mint)
THUG 2 (no scratches, a smudge or two, tape strips on top that easily removed)
NBA Ballers (mint)
Star Wars Battlefront (literally fresh out of a sealed package)
I'm going to go see if the deal is still going on. Even if it isn't, it may be worthwhile, since they were getting new games in all the time, and you can't beat a new game for $10. Hell, a few people before me even got titles like Dead to Rights 2 and WrestleMania 21. In fact, it was funny. My brother and I went to all the Blockbusters in town in one night, and we kept bumping into the same people who were game-hunting at the other stores.
