Okay, so.. yesterday I set out at 5:30PM or so.. to pricematch the Sears AC5 ad. No success. Tried GameCrazy, EB, Wal-Mart, TRU, and Sears. Oh well.

So I go to this little used media store.. and hand in X2, NCAA 04, and Fever 04. They look at it for a second and say that they'll give me $25 store credit  I take it and look around.. lo and behold, Unreal Tournament 2004, DVD version, Editor's choice, for 19.99! I grab that, along with a copy of Gunman Chronicles (Valve's long lost mod.. not really long or lost, just doesn't get much coverage.. completes my HL collection).

Today, around 530, I decided to revisit Sears because I had noticed the Music Mixer was 14.98.. it was still sealed with the microphone. It was part of their pink sticker 50% off sale, and rang up as $7 and some change  .. so yay, Unreal Tournament 2004, Music mixer with a mic, and Gunman Chronicles so far.

So I go to target and laugh about you guys complaining about DS shortages.. Target has at least 15 copies of Mario DS, Spiderman DS, Madden 05 DS, and Urbz or whatever. They also had at least 45 systems. For those in the Nashville area, I'll repeat that, the Murfreesboro Target is fully stocked with Nintendo DS systems.

I then went to K-Mart. Why? I don't know. K-Mart shoppers are bleh, especially in Tennessee. They had 1 DS system. As I was walking out, I saw a mom and daughter walking in with matching mullets. I'm not kidding.

So then I decide to stop by Hastings to see which used games they have for $9.99.. Hastings is on the way home, so I usually make it a point to stop by every day or every other day.. looking through the XBox section, I was saddened to see Second Sight for 9.99, since I had just paid $19.99 for it not long ago.. but then something catches my eye.. cheap ass senses were activated.. my eyes lower to the bottom row, a PS2 game in the middle of the XBox section.. It's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus. Bleh, the new TMNT games are never good.. but wait a second.. IT'S ONLY 9.99!!  Woooo! I bought that so quick. They put the first game's price (used) on the sequel, that's awesome. I hope something like that happens to some stupid girl working and MGS3, that would rule. For the record, they had other used copies of TMNT2 and new ones.. teh new ones were 39, the used ones were either 34 or 29..

Total:

Unreal Championship 2004 DVD Editor's Choice - 19.99 - Retails for 39
Gunman Chronicles - 3.99 - Retails for ????
XBox Music Mixer with Microphone - 7.48 - Retails for 19 or so
TMNT2: Battle Nexus (PS2) - 9.99 - Retails for 39.99

WOOHAH!

Whoa, I going to check out how many DS units there are at Target when I get to work. I've been hearing that most Targets are carrying plenty of units.

Also, nice finds.
Thanks! Surely Battle Nexus is worth the 9.99, if not for the arcade port alone!
I waited on TMNT 1 until it dropped to $19.99, I'm planning on doing the same with TMNT 2.

Toss a review of it out there for us CAG's who didn't get so lucky?

I guess you'd call that local color, or at least, local hair habits, like mother, like daughter for the same 80's hockey hair?

To be quite honest, I haven't even played TMNT2 yet. I did open it to verify (yep, it was complete), but I haven't been beyond that stage. I've been listening to my music on my XBox for the past few hours.

Yeah, I forgot about the $5 PDO. And yeah, it was the last music mixer. I got it for the sole purpose of transferring a mass amount of MP3's over to my XBox at once.

Won't it also rename all of your tracks if they were burned from the actual CDs?

Not that I know of, but I only have direct-from-CD MP3's on my PC at 192kbps (I'm real anal about quality).. I transferred random MP3's as a test and I guess it just reads the id3 tag.. it has the song name on the XBox, but not the artist. I've called Microsoft and asking them if maybe they could integrate live support on ripping CD's to where it'd auth the CD with the CDDB and automatically name the tracks (which would be a HUGE help) or if they would release a keyboard or something.. they had no plans.

I transfer 100 MP3's at a time. It usually takes an hour or an hour and a half from the PC to the XBox, then from Music Mixer to XBox it takes another hour and a half.. which is retarded, I don't know why it doesn't copy directly from PC to XBox, instead of going PC>Music Mixer>XBox.

What also sucks, is that as anal I am about quality, I was greatly disappointed when I FTP'ed into my XBox and discovered that when you rip CD's, it converts them to WMA files @ 128kbps. Lame.

there were tons of the music mixers at the sears i went to. nice finds OP.
