After years of searching and never quite finding the deal on a game I wanted, I finally decided to fulfill one of my many dreams and pick up this arcade cabinet. The guy wanted $275 for it, so while it wasn't a total steal, it was still reasonable. It runs fine, although the side art is ripped in a lot of spots, the wood is chipped in some areas, particularly on the bottom, and the monitor needs to be slightly re-calibrated. My goal is to remove all the Sunset Riders crap (It's not a horrible game, but it's not so great either), and convert this into a TMNT cabinet.
The biggest downside is that these old Konami games were designed to require only two buttons per player, when the standard for most other games at the time was at least a start button and two action buttons. This limits the number of games one could potentially play on it, and was probably designed by Konami intentionally for that exact reason. I plan on adding at least two additional buttons per player however, so I can run just about any game I want on it.
