It was a crazy weekend, no doubt. But now I'm pretty much broke until I unload a lot of this stuff. What little money I do make is heading right into my "Pay my way to Japan" trip next year as a graduation gift to myself.
They should've been $20 at TRU too.
Thanks for the tips, but I should have clarified.

I got 2 SHC for $30 using the "Buy 2 for $30 deal". So they came out to be $15 a piece.

edit - bil4l beat me to it.
Likewise beat.

Nice finds! Maybe i'm reading this wrong--but did that PS2 come with all those games for $125?! If they did, that's one of the best finds i've heard of.

btw, you mean you are consequently broke. "subsequently" means before the fact.
(What?

don't look at me, i'm an english major)

;)

1. Yea, the PS2 came with all the games. Pretty sweet, no?

2. I'm an engineer so the fact that I know words like "subsequently" exist makes me happy. Actually using the words properly is a bonus.

Yikes, on those GS bogo, you should have bought all the expensive ones together (Suik 2, LoZ CE, LoZ CE) you know, try to get the most expensive ones free. Isn't the Ocarina priced at 25 bucks?

Good lord...you're right. I'd have saved like $20-$30 in that case.

Thanks for pointing the tip out - I'll be sure to be more mindful next time around. :D
wow, the newspaper ad was the best find, then suikoden 2 for second. I'm surprised the gs employees didn't take it.
Definitely saw the hesitation in his eyes as he pulled it out. But I told him before that it was for my (non-existant) brother who really, really wanted it for his birthday.

Lesson: Is lying immoral? Yes, unless it gets you Suikoden II and out of the hands of dishonest GS or EB employees. So I think, in this case, unjust ends justify the means. :D

I made the same mistake on my buying b2g1 free splurge... luckily the guys at the Gamestop know me well enough (And I was there when it was dead enough) that he sorted it mostly out anyway, so I only lost about five bucks.

I got:

Chrono Cross for PSone, Complete and mint, non-GH :D
Brave Fencer Musashi, PSone, complete and near-mint (manual is slightly bent on the back)
Metal Gear Solid, PSone, complete/mint
Ergheiz, PSone, complete near-mint (busted case. Now fixed :D )
Samurai Warriors Xtreme Legends, complete mint
Final Fantasy Legend 1, 2 and 3 for game boy, cart only, decent condition (1 has a ripped label, 2 is worn, 3 is just fine)
Rampage 2 for N64, cart only (bought for visiting cousin to bring game total to 9 and qualify for 1 more free)

After the value card, total was $101. Not too bad... not too good, but not too bad...

There was also a FF7 non-GH, Saga Frontier... I think I got there the morning after sombody sold off their collection. Waaay too much nice stuff.

No Suikoden 2, tho'. I would have preferred that. You're lucky!

if you're especially friendly to the people who work there, or if you're not afraid of looking like a twitch, you can just go in, return it all and buy it again. I've pulled stupid stunts like that before. when they look at me funny, i just use the magic words "I'm a collector."

that PS2 find with all those games is fuggin' AMAZING deal! awesome find!
No prob Eco, if us cheapskates dont watch out for each other...who will?
Totally Agree. :D

I would go back and return everything, but I've done so many swaps within two days that the CSR all know me and are probably annoyed with me. I'd rather not take a chance and they somehow take my games from me. I'll be more mindful next time.

As for the PS2 find - You gotta love "Because I'm moving and want to get ride of my crap" sales. BTW, how much do you think that bundle is worth minus Shin Megami Tensei and Suikoden III? $200? $175?

Why would you pay 54 bucks for Suikoden 2?.. damn that game sucked. I think I actually tossed mine a few years ago, or gave it to someone.

Because it goes for at least $100 on eBay and, from my understanding, is considered to be one of the the sought after games in recent memory, with a great story line to boot...

I dunno, I could be wrong.

I would guess you could get rid of it all for about $200 without SMT and Suikoden 3. and yes Suikoden 2 is right up there with Gitaroo man for the two most sought after(and overhyped, imo) games.
