You gotta love checkers who just don't care (either that or really stupid.) I was in Walmart this morning picking up some groceries and I always make a swing through electronics because you never know what's gonna be on clearance. They had the GB Micro marked $35 (is it a price drop or this store only?) so I thought I'd go ahead and pick it up since my girlfriend borrows my DS a lot. Anyways, when I checked out the lady scanned it, looked at it, looked at the screen, shrugged, and put it in the sack and told me my total. When I got home, I checked my receipt and it wasn't on there. I don't know how she did it, but I saw her stop and check it so score one for me. Now karma will probably break out a window on my car or something.
 
Did you check your total? Maybe it was still added to the total, but not listed. See if you can get a refund, and use that cash to try it again. If it works, umm, can I have one :D

Now that would be pushing it. Its one thing to profit from a clerks mistake, but to go back and try to take further advantage of the situation just aint right imo.
 
Nope, it's not in the total. She must have missed the barcode reader but hit the demagnetizer or something. Even if it was in the total I wouldn't have minded, $35 is a great price IMO... the local used places want $25 for a damn GB color.

Why would the clerk be fired? If the Micro was never scanned, then no one knows about what happened except the clerk and the OP.

it was mostly a joke.. but if the cashier made a habit of doing this, everything would be on security cameras for them to piece together
 
Im too lazy to look up the thread I posted but something sim happened to me at TRU. Got some games and I think 1 or 2 didnt get scanned.

The TRU was 2 and a half hrs away but I called and they thanked me and sent a pre paid DHL envelope to send em back.

So he should waste his time and gas to go back and pay for someone else's mistake? This doesn't equate to shoplifting, what-so-ever. It would be one thing if he was still in the store looking at the receipt, but it's completely different when he's already home and didn't realize the mistake that he didn't even make.
