he loaded up kingdoms of amalur and was playing and then got some pop up/notification saying that he had played the game on another console and that the game/app had to relaunch to play on this one (i've never seen that pop up before and hes never played this game on another console or relocated his gamertag) then he unlocked one achievement upon relaunching the game playing, and he clicked to see what it was, and he had no other achievements, no history of ever playing any other games (he had about 8000+ gamerscore).

I'm at like 38k and scared to go on my account now lol... anyone else have this happen?

Same thing happened to my friend. He's at 25 now since he was playing Mass Effect 3. My account shows my correct gamerscore but my achievement list has been wiped out. I'm afraid to play anything for fear of it resetting my gamerscore.

Doesn't matter if your playing or not, mine was reset when I cut it on this morning. All my avatar awards and achievements were gone. It's a big issue, and they're looking into it. Support said it should be fixed within a couple of hours, but he didn't sound so sure... I'm wondering if this was a hacking.

For those of you having this issue don't recover your gamertag or earn achievements until it's fixed, unless you want to see your achievement total set to 0 on the spot. If you did let's hope it's temporary... I hope this #^#%@ ain't permanent at all.

Same thing just happened to me, I'm currently on a free account and have been playing nothing except Skylanders for the past month. I only noticed because it unlocked 2 new achievements..., but I already had 1000/1000, so I checked and now I only have only 20 gamerscore from 10,000+ and only 2 achievements. I tried recovering my profile, but no luck, still only reads 20. Same goes for Xbox.com

I've contacted Microsoft support via e-mail to look into it. Pretty sure it is some sort of network error, hopefully they can fix it.

Edit: Just read TheGuardianWolf's comment... ARGH!!

Yeah, don't misunderstand, I don't know what effect it's gonna have overall. I just know my account had near 30,000 gamerscore listed, even with achievements gone, then I recovered and it went to 0...

Now that I read your post though I see that when you earn an achievement it also goes back down to 0, so recovering may not matter...

My Xbox.com profile is still showing 27k though, so that's a bit of a relief.

From xbox's twitter account: For those experiencing Gamerscore issues, please sign out and then back into your profile to resolve. =) ^BA

good i thought it was just me, i turned it on and noticed i wasnt wearing my avatar award clothing, i went to edit my avatar and all my awards were gone, then i noticed that my gammer score had been reset to 0, i still have my acheviments doe...hope they fix it,

Man wish I had read TheGuardianWolf's comment before recovering. I hope this is fixed soon and my next question would be was everyone attempting to play an EA published game when this happened?

Too bad I guess I can not play anymore of Mass Effect 3 today.

Crap, I earned two achievements playing Sonic 4 this morning before I noticed my score was gone. I hope I get it back.

No worries, just re-recovered mine just fine. Everything was back, just had to fix my avatar again.

My xbox was off when mine was reset.

Signing out and back in didn't work for me on console or on xbox.com. Achievements were back, but my Gamerscore was still at 20.

On console, I finally got it working when I recovered my profile again though, but xbox.com still reads wrong Gamerscore for me. Not that I really care about Gamerscore, just posting in case anyone else wants to know.

okay signing out and back in got all games back from history of played games and their gamerscores, but full gamerscore is still showing as 10G for him and kingdoms of amalur he only has 10G in even though he beat that game?

They said if signing out and back in doesn't work, delete your profile and redownload it.

Still have not got mine completely fixed after redownloading my profile I got my achievements back but when I look it still says 0/0 achievements and gamerscore even though it it is right with the 39k listed before clicking over.

Hopefully it will be completely fixed here soon.

Is this all cleared up now? I've already been FIFA'd, I don't feel like losing my gamerscore as well...
