I came into EB today (after flunking my final)...one that I don't work at...and I saw that somebody had traded in a COMPLETE, MINT GITAROO MAN!!! It was $44.99 and after EDGE and employee discount, it came down to 34.42 + tax...

Okay, gotta go to study for more finals...but OMG, I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!!! Friday the 13th is weird....I flunked my final but I find Gitaroo Man???

Nice find. It's always cool to go into work and finding a rare game just sitting on the shelf, screaming "Buy me!"
 
Unless something drastic has happened to the price of Gitaroo Man in the last month or so, 16.99 is a spectacular price for even a disk-only copy. I'm not sure what you were trying to get at.

Yes. Getting it at that price is quite sweet, especially complete. Especially after getting Rez a week before complete for $26.99 at the same Gamestop.

Congrats, Gitaroo Man is awesome and it is a great price. I got lucky at last year's CC sale where I got myself a new copy for $10. Oh, that and Rez for $12.99 (used but mint from BBV). :D

Rez is a great game, but I STILL can't understand why everyone seems to like Gitaroo Man (even when they have never played it) I actually bought it about a year ago used and ended up trading it back in a few weeks later...and I still don't regret it.
 
good luck on your finals. I didnt even go outside for the last few days because of them. Good thing I got my Gitatroo Man new for $25 last year at CC (still unopen)

I got mine for $42 from outpost.com a long time ago when I bougth that and some other stuff.

For me, it's the opposite. I love GM, and while Rez isn't bad, it isn't worth $80, not even $30 to play. But its rarity plus the fact I did want to play it and couldn't find it to rent prompted me to pick it up.

Oh btw, sorry OP, I didn't mean to hijack your thread bragging about my GM/Rez finds. You still got a good deal.

Obviously you also didn't play Yanya Caballista. I went in with the same thought after the wave of gaming euphoria Gitaroo Man provided me with.

I have it, but haven't played it yet. It will probably be good for what I'm expecting, a quirky skateboarding game with simple controls.
 
The controls are simple enough yes, but there are clipping problems(what's a skateboarding game without them) and you tend to have to fight your characters to respond the way you want them to. The designs are ok, and the gawoo make weird sounds, but other than that, it's kinda meh.
