Had a pretty good day today.

Went to Kmart and found a few Metroid/Wavebird bundles. Ended up getting 2 of them. Before anyone says anything - getting 2 wasn't hoarding because they had plenty for everyone.

Then off to Blockbuster where I found the Akuma Street Fighter 2 PS2 controller for $12.99. I know you can get it for $10 at some stores, but I haven't seen the Akuma one ANYWHERE, so I was willing to pay the extra $3 to get it. Also noticed they had a "buy 1 get 1 50% off sale". Picked up Transformers PS2 and Def Jam Vendetta PS2 for $15 total.

After that I stopped at Gamestop. Had GTA 3 disc only (Xbox), Carve (Xbox), and XIII (PS2) to trade in for the "trade 3 get $10 bonus". Got almost $20 credit. Picked up Ridge Racer, Jak & Daxter, and Soul Reaver 2. Paid $5 cash for them.

Not too shabby if I do say so myself.
 
Not bad. The Akuma controller was Blockbuster exclusive, that may be why you couldn't find it anywhere else.

Oh, duh, that makes sense. :)

Glad they weren't charging a ton for it though. My local KB doesn't have any of these controllers for $9.99 and I saw the Chun-Li one at Gamestop for $9.99 but I'm not really a Chun-Li lover.

The Akuma one is by far the nicest looking with Ken a close second.

Even if they only had 2, I don't see how getting 2, or even 3 or 4 of them would (if they had more) be hoarding because since the GCN has 4 controller ports, getting 1 Wavebird for each port doesn't seem like hoarding to me.

People usually think getting multiples of something during a sale is hoarding.

I agree. I look at this for the controllers not the game.

I was just going to say that. Not too shabby of a haul mmn. I need to pick up one of those SF2 controllers. I posted it in the Deals section not too long ago, but never picked one up.

I don't believe it to be hoarding. I mean, you have one controller for yourself and than another if you want multiplayer and so on. Plus not to mention that every Kmart I have gone to in town has tons of those bundles still left.

Gamestop had the Chun-Li one for $9.99 if you don't really care about the character. The one on Trop and Jones.
