My local Goodwill is INSANE
Umm... Isn't donating the antithesis of greed?
I assume he means the people that "donate" crap, like nasty couches or beds, in order to avoid paying disposal fees somewhere else for it. Then, they probably use it as a tax write off, valuing it at $2000.
Trakan,

I'll check for the PS2 HDs next time I'm there . . . honestly, I go there fairly often but I fly through (mostly looking for cart games) and those HDs were there for soooooooo long . . . many months actually . . . that I stopped "seeing" them.

What do you think of the new Oak Creek Goodwill? (27th Street) Stopped a few times but haven't seen much (but it is hit or miss).
Ha, I'm not really looking for them, just wondering if they're still sitting there at $99.

The Oak Creek Goodwill is garbage. I have never found anything there. I did see a sealed GH Tekken 4 for $20 one time, but that was it. Don't make the trip.

At the Goodwill's that I go to, sometimes you can negotiate the prices if the stuff has been there longer than a certain amount of time. I got a shining force and a few other ho-hum games at Goodwill but don't usually see much. They had some cartridge based system once that was older than the Atari 2600 (Fairchild Channel F ???) with the box and a bunch of games for $50.00 bucks but I don't collect stuff that old. Too much of the time the people there think theyre running a Burdines. Don't even get me started on the guys who think that they are all powerful because they get to decide what price to put onto a urine soaked sofa.

Last time I was at goodwill, I was around the back at the donation part, and there was this guy donating about 100 suits and dresses that were straight from the dry cleaners. It was kind of odd.

Today at Goodwill I found 2 Intellivision games for .99 each.

Football complete (box, instructions, 2 playbooks and 2 overlays)

Golf with box

Genesis sys with 2 controllers (no hookups) for $1.99 (the price was on the controller only and the clerk let me have it for the $2)

A funny update on The Simpsons boxset. I stopped by a few days ago and ran into a former coworker who is still working there. She mentioned to me that The Simpsons boxset got STOLEN by some kid who just walked in after seeing it in the glass case (which is by the exit), reached over the counter, grabbed it, and ran off.

Yeah stealing is wrong, but damn in a way its kinda fitting to see that happen seeing that they left it in the worst spot you can place a easy to grab item. They might of well had just put it outside with a huge FREE sign over it as that's what they did in essence.

Thats just dumb to leave something so valuable by the exit:applause:. They should keep that stuff under glass by the register like one of mine does. Anyways my goodwill have the stuff overpriced too, but its been a couple of years since I been there so they could've changed or not.
