for some reason i just built a computer a while back and it runs fine ( although a bit slow) and my mouse wont work its plugged directly into the motherboard please help
Umm got another mouse to test? That'll make life easier, because w/ a second mouse you can tell whether 1) port on motherboard is bad, or 2) first mouse is bad. Hopefully nothing complicated is involved. Windows usually can detect and use a generic mouse driver for any mouse you've plugged in until you load in the real driver. If port on motherboard is bad, you can get a USB mouse.
ive already tried two mouses and i tried to check out what was wrong and it said that something was wrong with a file named "vmouse.vxd"
i really dont know what that means sooooo....please help me more dood

what system are you running? At any rate, try and reinstall the drivers for the mouse. If that doesn't work, look in your windows cd to reinstall the vmouse.vxd from the disk... or you could get it on google as well.
