Worked for me too. The operations manager at BB came up and got me talking. I said the ad came out around Christmas and they told me to come back when the game actually came out. She went back, pulled the Dec 19 ad from their files and sure enough, there it was so she honored it. MONEY! Score one more BB devil!
You could always take the 2nd copy to Walmart and get your money back without a receipt. I would only condone this if you were not a cube owner and used that $50 towards buying a cube though. Just think, you could have a cube and one of its best games for just $75+tax!

Is there a way I can still get this ad? I printed out the scan, but the quality is so bad that you can hardly tell it's RE4. I know the people would give me shit if I showed them it.
Also, were there any problems you guys had with expiration dates and the like? Please let me know as I'm about to call my CC and Best Buy to see if they'll accept a print-out.

Okay, I called Circuit City earlier. First, I asked if they PM'd Best Buy. Then I asked if they PM Best Buy's ads. Then I asked if they can PM a print-out of the ad. Everything is go!
I'm taking two different sizes of the printout along with the scanned receipt later on today. Wish me luck!

This "deal" shows a tremendous weakness in our CAG way of life . . . 2 or 3 people are able to turn the corner on this one (throughout the whole nation) and then a legion of us head out to our local BB and of course the stores shoot it down. If you haven't tried it yet, I'd say don't.
I got pissed because the regional sales manager gave the clerk an OK to the deal, then he stopped him, called up the store manager who knew about the misprint. The local manager vanished and returned 20 mins. later with a printoff of a sign that he claims they had posted that week in the games area.
I have no legs to stand on, but I'm mostly pissed by being treated like I'm some scam artist fresh off the street (which I am btw) when I spent over $4000 at that very store in the last 4 years (no joke . . . refridge, stove, HDTV set, DVD recorder, DV camera, digital camera, scanner, printer and tons of other stuff).
It will make no difference, but I think I'm going to mail my cut up BB credit card to their customer service.

I think this deal was meant for PM. I would have never expected BB to do it, unless I got a raincheck or something. I got lucky with a few CC employees who had no idea about the misprint.
