I'm not one to brag, . . . ok, maybe i am, but i think i got a pretty good score yesterday on some N64 and SNES games. a movie gallery in town was converted to an outlet store a while back, and they sell new/used games b2g3 free. they didn't have much for new stuff, but they were filled with complete N64, SNES, and PS1 games. so, here's what i got:

SNES:
Mario is Missing (never really heard of this game, kind of looked like carmen sandiego)
Street Fighter II (classic)
Disney's Aladdin (awesome platformer)
Super Mario Kart
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (best zelda ever IMO)

N64:
Mario Golf (Awesome game)
Mario Tennis (ditto)
Mario Party 3 (fun multiplayer)
Super Smash Bros. (They had like 4 copies of this)
Conker's Bad Fur Day (I've been wanting to get this again forever, and here it is)

Well, the grand total for all of this was $12.92. Again, they were complete (some had xerox copies but that's ok) They get new shipments in every week, so i'm going to go back and see if i can find more gaming goodness. well, i think i got a pretty good deal, so i'm happy.

*UPDATE*

ok, my super mario kart was messed up so i went to exchange it. they just got a new shipment in. this one might be better for nostalgic reasons. here is what i got today. all are in original boxes and include instruction manuals

NES:
Ducktales
Contra
Zelda II: The Adventures of Link
Tecmo Bowl
Mike Tyson's Punch Out (someone stole the letter from mike)

ALL IN ORIGINAL BOX W/ MANUALS

SNES:
Super Mario All-Stars
Super Punch*Out

N64:
Conker's Bad Fur Day (I'm not hoarding them i promise)
Super Mario 64
Mario Party 2

Once again, it was $12.00. i was shocked to see those NES games in there. the woman at the counter said she got a shipment the other day of NES games that were still sealed. that's crazy.

Wow all that for $13.

I don't like the SNES version of aladdin, the genesis version was so gorgeous it puts it to shame.

Hmm, we have Movie Gallery stores around here. I've never thought to look there for games, especially older ones, because I've only seen them spring up over the past year or so. Those are some amazing finds.

Awesome finds. Just like Zennousha, I too have never thought to look there, but will be making a trip soon. Thanks for the info.
For anyone in the Clarksville/Nashville area, there is a movie gallery in Hopkinsville, Ky. An hour drive north for Nasvillians and if you live in Clarksville you know where to go. I won't be able to go until Friday, so if you can don't hog all the deals if any...hahaha.

happy gaming

Might have to venture over to ol lee county for some cheapassness :)[/QUOTE]

yeah man, it's the one in auburn, in the same shopping center as the bumpers and winn-dixie.

i went there hoping to grab a few xbox and gcn games, but i flipped out when i saw all of these n64 and snes games.

*edit* all of these games were originally $2.99. so, if you can find these games at your movie gallery, it should be that price. also, this was not a normal movie gallery, but a movie gallery outlet. so that explains why there were so many games in one place. nonetheless, it should be possible to find this stuff at a movie gallery if they have it. *edit*

I've been looking for Mario Is Missing for a long time, you douche.

Nice deals, congrats on being awesome. :applause:

Dude, there are seriously like 5 copies there. PM me if you want to make some sort of trade.

Would you mind hooking any CAGer's up with some stuff for cost + shipping + a little extra for your time?

Wouldn't mind getting Mario Kart or Mario All Stars on the cheap.

If you can't do it, no problem though, congrats on the awesome find!

Totally. if anyone wants me to look for a game i will do it. i have a good idea as of right now what's there, just PM and i'll see what i can do.

Movie Gallery does have there own 'game stores' similar to Game Crazy and Game Rush inside 23 of there stores. However, they will soon be re-branded with a Game Crazy logo.

Nice find though!

Wow, what a great a haul for some older games. I just learned the other day that there is a Movie Gallery in my area, and probably all of the Hollywood Videos are going to become them anyway, but I never really thought of checking them out. They didn't seem that large when I passed by them and I never thought that they would sell games. I'm going to go check them out, probably on the weekend.

definitely worth checking out. but, this one is an outlet where games, dvds, and vhss are sent. they are mostly just trying to clear their warehouses i bet, and they found a lot of these older games (NES)
