Not sure how many of you are familier with Home Star Runner, but after watching some of the "Teen Girl Squad" episodes, I was inspired to make my own little comic thing. So here we have it, Issue 1, A Hero is Drawn.

If I had any idea how to do it, I'd use flash and add in some voice work, but I don't, so for now we're stuck with gif's.

Ok, Issue #2 has now been made. This one has some of my lame friends in it as well as me, so it probably won't be funny to anyone else.

Lets get some more comments if you please. Apparently this has gotten 54 views. Tell me how much it sucks please. Are the slides too short, not enough time to read them.. anything.

Nothing about spoof, satire, etc. In fact, the first utterance of "spoof" is that last post.

Let's not quibble over semantics, Mao. He said he was inspired by it, is it a big deal he didn't specifcally say 'spoof'? And relax a little bit, you're always all over everyone.
 
I'd respond to Mao but he has everyone blocked that tries to show him what a douche he is, as if his opinion really matters any how.

Oh, and the comics suck. I know you got yourself a fancy drawing tablet and want to show it's salt but, meh, you need sound and maybe a steadier hand to make it run a bit smoother.
 
"spoof" isn't the term for the relationship between this and TGS. But hey, if you aren't claiming originality, go nuts.

The art's pretty good, as far as this sort of art goes.

:applause:Bravo Jimmie. I think that's probably the first thing that I've agreed with you on. Maybe it's a sign of the times.

Actually, I don't have my tablet here with me, so I'm stuck with using the mouse. Thats not to say it'd look any better with it ;) but thats kinda the point. Also, my buds and I did add some sound to the 2nd one, and I think it does make it a little better. Thanks to you and the rest for input.

Just because I didn't specifically say something doesn't mean it wasn't intended. I uttered spoof to myself a few times before typing any of this stuff, and I'm sure the word spoof was used at least a few years back... also since this is a forum there is no speaking and thus no uttering, only typing and reading. Therefore "spoof" was never uttered. :cool:

Issue #3 is done, a voiced one will come out as soon as the bums get up.
A foreword on this issue.
This issue showcases one of my more annoying roomies. He can pull random farm facts out of his ass at will, and all of the facts shown in the comic come directly from him (yes even the non-farm ones) except for fact #13, which was stolen from a show somebody saw... Also, he has an infatuation with chickens.

Oh yea, I got lazy during the facts part and decided to type them out instead of doing them manually. So what do you think? Should I type out the text or keep the sketch look stuff?

Ok this one took a long time due to tests and whatnot the last week, but the "art" for issue 4 is done. Voiced issue to follow tomorrow.

Issue #4 involves two new characters, Phat and Trist. Trist is based on a guy in my hall who likes to wear all black (no make-up or nail paint.. he just likes to wear black, not emo) and often talks about the practical use of explosives. He can be a little... unique sometimes, but hes still a part of the crew. Phat is based on my hall's RA. We give him lots of shit, and he gives it right back. Also, I put my awesome dog in this issue... cuz' he's awesome. With these 2 characters introduced, this leaves only 1 more till' I've created the full cast. So from issues 6 and onward, it'll be pure "adventures" and no more of this intro stuff.
