How do I block the deals forum of this site from myself? Too many deals are causing my wallet to constantly ignite from the friction between the two walls without any green insulation between them.

there is actually a way to do it , DO this :

- click little COG tag looking setting tab
- go to " change new post preference
- then select which ones you want to see

It's called self control.

Look for deals on something you are planning to buy, don't buy stuff just because you see a deal.

I don't even look at the deals forums very often unless I have a few things I'm looking for a deal on as I'm not going to buy something just because it's cheap anyway.

But many seem to lack that self control given how many people complain about both being broke AND having a huge backlog of games they'll never get around to playing.
